Department: Sterile Processing Weekly Hours: 40 Status: Full time Shift: Evenings (United States of America) As a Sterile Processing Aide, you will handle daily workflow tasks as a vital part of the Sterile Processing Team. By managing routine tasks, you help increase productivity and efficiency in the department. You will empty instruments and cart washers. This includes scanning tray tags in the instrument tracking system, placing trays in the Drying Cabinet, and moving trays to staging areas for assembly. You will also move carts to the staging area, empty container tracks, sort, and store containers for easy access. As an aide, you will deliver and pick up instruments and case carts from the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum department and additional departments like the Breast Care Center and Interventional Radiology. Job Details Kettering Health Main Campus | Kettering | Full-Time | 12 Hour Shift Nights Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities * The Nursing Assistant serves as a member of our interdisciplinary patient care team. * The Nursing Assistant focuses on supporting patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. * The Nurse Assistant is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks. * The Nursing Assistant also supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned. * The Nursing Assistant reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Job Details Kettering Health Main Campus | Kettering | Full-Time | First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements * Assists physicians in surgery and may perform specific significant surgical tasks under professional supervision. * Surgical tasks include, but are not limited to, opening and closing surgical sites, exposure of the surgical site, harvesting grafts, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, implanting devices, and altering tissues. * Under professional supervision, the RNFA performs task which include, but are not limited to, applying and removing splints and/or casts, placing Foley catheters, placing IV's, placing arterial lines, administering local anesthesia, and other such procedures as requested and necessary.
