Operating with equipment and machinery to package dried cannabis product as instructed and trained, safely. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment and machinery to sustain longevity and performance.
Executing objectives to achieve desired quality and consistently throughout assignment.
Organization and reporting data entries to spreadsheets and log as instructed. Ensuring accurate and legible logging of a variety of spreadsheets and labels.
Properly achieving packaging objectives to maintain quotas based on instruction from leadership. Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity. Meet daily quotas.
Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work, such as, Post-Harvest dept tasks, Production dept tasks, cleaning, and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.
Training Requirements
This position will follow the direction and training by the Lead of Packaging and the Manager of Post-Harvest assigned to the Buckeye Lake, OH Cultivation Facility. A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Machine Operator, Coating Robot, TPS is responsible for performing and maintaining basic programs and changing off-sets on a CNC style coating Robot as well as ABB (VPS). The Machine Operator, Coating Robot, TPS reports to the Production Supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Completes all required training.
Reads and understands customer specifications based on customer blueprints, Customer Requirement Sheets (CRS), and/or other written documentation; seeks clarification when needed.
Preps and fixtures orthopedic implants, placing fixtures in machine, programming and operating machine.
Performs general maintenance on equipment including filling hoppers with mesh, changing powder lots, and repairing fixtures.
Confirms customer specifications are met by reviewing and signing off on CRS (“Customer Requirement Sheet”).
Ensures measurement equipment and other hand tools, such as calipers and micrometers, are maintained in good working order, replacing or requesting repair as needed.
Records data on specified forms, both manual and computerized, when needed.
Ensures defects or errors are immediately highlighted for supervisor review.
Updates and improves job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities, Kaizen events, and other team-based opportunities.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.
Responsible for following 5S practices in work area, performing general cleaning including sweeping, mopping and trash removal.
Responsible for accurately clocking in/out for the day and on/off jobs throughout the day using internal computer software system.
Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision Machine Operators are responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of fabrication machining equipment including horizontal bandsaws, CNC press brakes and CNC lasers. Machine Operators must be able to work from verbal and written instructions including blueprints, engineering drawings or models. It is the operator's responsibility to inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using measuring tools including tape measures, square, calipers, etc. If a part is out of tolerance basic troubleshooting and correction is required. It is also the Machine Operators responsibility to perform routine maintenance and cleaning of their equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* The ability to operate a variety of machines in the factory (lasers/press brakes/bandsaws).
* The ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasks (Quality/Safety/Engineering).
* The ability to use appropriate measuring instruments for the task (calipers, tape measures, protractors).
* The ability to use and operate hand tools.
* Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day.
* The ability to operate a forklift and crane.

Full-time Description
FUNCTION
Responsible, under general supervision, for the operation of two or more multiple spindle automatic screw machines that turn, form, and thread externally and internally cylindrical objects from metal bar stock. Job is performed in a machine shop environment, requires lifting up to 50lbs, and requires own hand tools (screw drivers, pliers, micrometers, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Learn to remove, reset, replace, and sharpen machine tools with surface and/or pedestal grinders to maintain of production in accordance with specifications.
Use standard dimensional inspection gages (depth, height, ring, thread, snap, micrometers, over screen charts, calipers, etc.) to check the conformance of machined components to item specifications.
Learn to refer to in-process drawings of machined components and defect list for definition of relevant dimensional tolerances and characteristics.
Use a basket system to insure effective sampling of the of machined components and start machines to maintain of items being produced and maintain necessary production efficiency.
Load automatic screw machines with bar stock or previously machined components.
Maintain fluid levels needed to insure proper machine tool, or machine lubrication as well as safe and efficient screw machine operation.
Remove metal shavings and chips from automatic screw machines as deemed necessary to maintain safe and efficient operation.
Use lift trucks and overhead cranes to transport materials as needed.
Learn to perform all routine maintenance on automatic screw machines.
Learn to set up from layouts, automatic screw machines to produce components to blueprint and dimensional tolerances from bar stock or previously machined components.
Performs any related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
Machine Trade School training and five (5) years' experience operating Automatic Screw machines or four (4) years' experience as an Automatic Screw Machine Operator.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
