The charge nurse will facilitate, precept, and mentor staff and team members to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. They will continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with other department, clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients. The charge nurse will always demonstrate professionalism, meet regulatory and policy requirements, engage standards of practice, and hold team members accountable for safe, competency practice, quality care, and continual improvement.
