Department: Metro Forensic Program Weekly Hours: 0 Status: Per Diem Shift: Variable (United States of America) Compassionate care, advocacy and creating a safe and helping environment for sexual assault victims are top priorities for the SANE RegisteredNurse.
You will collect evidence accurately and timely from patients in sexual assault cases and initiate appropriate referrals and follow-up care.
You will work with the patient as a partner in care, communicate their needs and involve patients and families in the care process.

REQUIREMENTS
* Education: Associate degree in Nursing
* Skills: Completion and passage of an Adult/Adolescent/Pediatric Sexual Assault Training Program.
* Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
* License: Current state license as a RegisteredNurse.
* The RN in Ohio must complete 24 hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period. At least 1-hour of contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohionurse practice code and rules.
* Maintains knowledge and training regarding legislation and evidence collection by achieving a minimum of 4-hours of SANE specific continuing education annually.
* Attends regional/departmental meetings and education events as scheduled.
* Participates in SANE "on-Call" schedule with adherence to business unit guidelines.
* Certification: Current BLS.

Job Details Kettering Health Main Campus | Kettering | Part-Time | 12 Hour Shift Nights Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities * The Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) has a dual focus, a combination of the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) and Nursing Assistant (NA) roles. They serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
* The HUC NA supports patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
* The HUC NA also collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the patient care unit. This includes the processing of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. The HUC NA serves as a resource for physicians and other members of the health care team for the electronic medical record.
* The HUC NA is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks. The HUC NA also supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned.
* The HUC NA reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
Applicants Must Have:
* Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role
* Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role
* Certification in CPR/BLS
* Must have one of the following:
* Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility
* Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months
* Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
* Current employee with Kettering Health

* Performs infection prevention and control surveillance using EPIC's Bugsy program

* Serves as a resource for staff and providers for questions and concerns regarding infection prevention and control
* Ensures the maintenance of a sanitary facility environment.
* Participates in facility and system committees as applicable
* Mitigates risks associated with patient infections present upon admission
* Mitigates risks contribution to healthcare-associated infections
