1972

Pinckney, Eliza Lucas, May 1743, in a letter to Miss Bartlett, describing Crowfield, plantation of William Middleton, vicinity of Charleston, SC (1972: 61)

1980

The Cowdell sisters sold the house and the surrounding property to the town of Prospect in 1980 and upon their deaths, the town received a bequest from the sisters for the upkeep of the house.
