Key Responsibilities
+ Serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person and by phone.
+ Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
+ Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information,and patient support.
+ Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).

Required Qualifications:
+ 6 months of customer service related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 6 months of office experience, medical office preferred. Recent experience in the medical field.
+ 6 months of electronic medical record experience (e.g. EPIC)

Required Qualifications:
+ 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
+ Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.

The Health Plan Specialist will act as a connector, building a bridge for UPMC Health Plan members between hospital services and Health Plan and community resources. They will support the Discharge Plan Managers, identifying members who might have higher needs and benefit from Health Plan resources. Responsibilities:
+ Demonstrates role model behavior for the team.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab - Springfield Regional Medical Center
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:
* Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
* Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs
* Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care
* Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
* Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
Essential Functions:
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
* Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
* Synthesizes and prioritizes information in order to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action using clinical judgement and clinical inquiry
* Anticipates and responds with confidence and adapts to rapidly changing patient conditions
* Participates in the on-call system for emergency and urgent procedures on weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be able to respond to STEMI call backs in less than 30 minutes
* Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures
* Other duties as assigned
Education:
* Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
Certifications:
* Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
* BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)
Experience:
* One year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR (required)

* Collaborates and acts as a resource to the organization and medical staff in the abstraction, analysis, and submission of data for evaluation to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, CMS conditions of participation, payor requirements, and medical staff bylaws. Includes support of the Medical Staff Quality/Peer Review function.
* Collects quality indicator data and provides comparative analysis with other healthcare facilities.
* Participates as a member of quality improvement teams to provide data, analysis and document learnings to ensure spread of best practices.
* Works collaboratively with the medical staff and organizational leadership to proactively address quality and /or utilization issues.
* Collaborates with hospital departments to ensure site survey readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements and conditions of participation.
* Serves as an internal consultant and educator for performance improvement activities and patient safety processes.
* Participates in an environment promoting individual and team accountability and commitment to high-quality and safe patient care.
* Participates in the development and implementation of the organization-wide quality and performance improvement plan.
Employment Qualifications:
* Current OH RN License required
* 5 years clinical experience demonstrating increasing responsibility and success in clinical quality improvement.
* Through knowledge of TJC standards, CMS conditions of participation, and other regulatory standards essential. Trained Lean Leader, CAP and Workout, or willing to train.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with members of the medical staff, organizational leadership and front-line staff. Organizational team-building, relationship building and management skills required. Understanding and ability to perform data analysis, basic statistical skills including intermediate knowledge of Excel. Proven experience with performance improvement methodologies required.

* Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
* Observes the surgery and surgical team from a broad perspective and assists the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient
* Responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with other care providers
* Provides pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions
* Other duties as assigned
Education:
* Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
Certifications:
* Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
* BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS and/or PALS may be required within 6 months based on specific surgical department requirements)
* CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse (preferred, not required)
* SGNA Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (preferred, not required)
Experience:
* Two years of RN experience in Critical Care Department (preferred, not required)
* Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not required)
Training:
