The CH-53E, Quality Assurance Representative (Aircraft Mechanic III) is accountable to the Site Team Leader, quality assurance officer and the aircraft maintenance officer, for the prevention of the occurrence of defects of Organizational Level (O-Level) scheduled/unscheduled maintenance tasks, personnel accountability, employee health and safety. The Quality Assurance Representative performs the receiving, in-process, final inspections and/or functional operational tests of Aircraft Mechanic I, II, II and Aircraft Workers. The individual must possess a detailed, working knowledge of all Navy-sponsored aviation maintenance programs and processes governed by COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790 (series). In addition, aviation maintenance controllers/production controllers must have detailed knowledge of the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information Systems Optimized O-level Maintenance Activity (NALCOMIS OOMA).
