Job Description At Cryopak Digital (CVT), we are committed to the design and manufacturing of the most technically advanced, reliable, self-powered data loggers in the world. Our data loggers are principally used for cold chain management solutions to ensure that food, medical and pharmaceutical products are stored and transported in their required temperature conditions. Our devices are also extensively used for environmental and heating/ventilation monitoring for building management, plus energy-saving applications. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities): Our QA Specialist is responsible for coordinating all aspects of quality and validation functions. This role includes developing, executing, and maintaining quality and validation processes to ensure that products and services comply with regulatory agency requirements, internal company standards, ISO 9001/17025 expectations, and current industry best practices. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing quality and validation processes and recommending enhancements in collaboration with Quality, Instrumentation, Operations, and R&D teams. Location Specific Responsibilities: QA/QC inspection: Perform and reinforce quality inspections at the CVT Roanoke location to ensure all products, including data loggers, devices, and calibration services, meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. Mapping services and validation: Collaborate closely with the Quality Director and the QC/Validation Specialist at the Montreal site to support mapping services remotely under the MTL account, advance all mapping projects on the roadmap, and ensure alignment and consistency across sites. Mapping service & Quality Documentation: Write /execute / reviews (protocol generation, execution, and final package preparation) process Mapping /validation/quality activities related to the implementation of process changes and new processes Apply sound judgment to establish approval criteria and implement solutions aligned with CVT and regulatory requirements. Ensure that agreed section and project timelines are implemented and achieved. Ensure project and section timelines are met and activities adhere to applicable guidelines and standards. Co-ordination the mapping /Thermal equipment's/ system validation project expectations with QC/Validation Specialist (located at CDI MTL site) and CVT Pharma clients. Collect and data trend reviews of mapping /validation projects. QC/QA Inspection During Production and Prior to Shipment: Reinforce quality inspection activities throughout production to ensure products, components, and calibration services meet internal quality standards and customer requirements. Perform final QC/QA inspections for all orders shipped to customers, including data loggers, devices, and calibration services, to confirm compliance with specifications and regulatory expectations. Document all inspection results during production and prior to shipment, and report any deviations, nonconformities, or required corrective actions (CAPA) in a timely and accurate manner. Quality System Improvements Identify, implement, and review improvements to QA/QC processes (policies, change control, SOPs, technical documentation) supporting regulatory, instrumentation, and R&D activities. Maintain familiarity with laboratory operations, QA/QC procedures, quality system regulations, and standards to support both the Operations, R&D and Quality departments. Testing and Anomaly Management: Create and execute testing plans and procedures according to the most appropriate methodology, report anomalies and follow their corrections with the R&D team. Create and prioritize bug reports with clear reproduction steps Training, Customer Support, and Cross-Functional Coordination: Conduct team meetings and follow up with customers regarding mapping services to ensure clarity, alignment, and continuity of service Provide training to customer staff on mapping and validation activities to ensure they receive the appropriate level of support needed to meet project requirements. Deliver internal employee training on compliance-related topics, policies, and procedures to support overall quality and operational excellence. Work cross-functionally with other departments or teams and attend meetings as required to support quality and validation activities. Audit Support Support the QA Director / Operations Manager during customer audits and ISO/regulatory inspections by providing requested documentation, process explanations, and evidence of compliance. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure audit readiness and follow up on audit observations, corrective actions, and required improvements. Participate in and support internal audits by preparing documentation, conducting audit activities as assigned, and contributing to the implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Responsibilities may include: - Move materials and supplies. - Assist incoming performance groups. - Assist with road company lighting and sound equipment and scenery. - Assist with motorized rigging. - Assist with setup of Moss Arts Center lighting and sound equipment and post-use teardown. - Clean stages, storage, and other work areas. - Perform cleaning and light duty maintenance of stage, lighting, sound, and related equipment. - Perform light duty carpentry and painting. - Launder and press performer costumes and wardrobe. - Operate control consoles for lighting, audio, and video systems. - Operate "fly" system for raising and lowering scenery, lighting, etc. - Operate motorized systems. - Perform non-operator tasks during the run of a show, including moving scenery and microphones, assisting with wardrobe, etc. - Assist with intermission changeovers and stage resets. Required Qualifications Experience in a maintenance or laborer environment. Experience working as part of a team. Proven record of punctuality. Willingness and ability to work evening and weekend hours. Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Performing arts production services experience, including safe practices. Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE The quality control group monitors, supports, and influences the design, configurations, and actual construction necessary to guide our design and production teams to manufacture high quality industry leading homes and components for our customers in accordance with regulatory requirements. The quality control inspector undertakes the inspection of materials, components, and final products to confirm adherence to quality, regulatory, and engineering specifications. He/she works collaboratively with production departments to identify ways to continuously improve production quality. The quality control inspector may work independently or under direct supervision executing specific process steps under continuous quality review and coaching as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Works in a safe manner following all safety policies while performing job duties. Undertakes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees by identifying any safety standards, procedures, or regulations that are not optimally addressed. Maintains open communication with supervisor regarding safety concerns. Follows work orders and instructions in order to accurately and efficiently review the preparation and assembly of building components based on production area specifications and regulatory requirements including HUD specifications. Inspects incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure materials and products meet specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable drawings; conducts visual and measurement tests; documents and communicates rejections of unacceptable items and required corrections; ensures defective products are not delivered to the customer. Works collaboratively with production supervisors, team leads, and line assemblers to discuss inspection results and provides guidance as needed. Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and checklists; communicates any violations of the quality process or adherence to job performance requirements to Production Supervisors and QC Manager. Maintains a good attendance record and proactively communicates and coordinates with supervisors regarding attendance. Keeps inspection and measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and notifying management when repairs are necessary. Assists in maintaining and keeping tools, machinery, and work area clean and organized. Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years of age. This can be a physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift 40+ pounds, to grip, work over head, pull at chest height, bend, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb and carry various materials and equipment. High school diploma and substantial experience in and clear understanding of the requirements and expectations across multiple production areas in a fabrication / manufacturing environment expected. Must have experience reading and interpreting schematics and excellent problem-solving skills. Experience in quality control Inspection preferred including building code knowledge, ability to gain an understanding of construction manuals, standards, regulations, and specifications regarding the products. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Ability to build effective relationships with fellow employees and supervisors including when providing constructive feedback and inspection results. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work in a team, to be trained, and take direction. Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Not afraid to get dirty and handle tools/equipment daily. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
