    SUPPLIER QUALITY TECHNICIAN Golden State Foods - Conyers, GA Full-time | Food Manufacturing ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Conducts, analyzes, and compiles the results of samples, tests, and audits on raw, in-process, and finished products and processes to ensure compliance with product consistency, safety, and quality standards. (40%) * Routinely interacts with plant personnel to provide QA and safety-related information and to keep GSF and customers apprised of quality and safety concerns, techniques, and regulations. (20%) * Maintains records and logs of tests, audits, and other quality procedures to ensure availability of accurate and thorough information. (15%) * Trains new employees on GSF-specific techniques and practices. (15%) * Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of QA procedures. (10%) * Adheres to food safety, quality and legal compliance. In the event of a crisis (i.e. product recall, fire, etc.) delegate responsibilities as outlined in the Crisis Communications and Management Guide. * Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to: Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related field of science from an accredited college or university Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience, with an understanding of food safety and regulations. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintaining quality-assurance processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing. * Following through on set processes and ensuring adherence to best production practices. * Ensuring adherence to product quality standards, as well as monitoring the efficiency and cost- effectiveness of product output. * Update internal charts for any CSI activity. * Complete shift data collection activity report. * Perform Internal Audits of Process. * Perform Layered Process Audits. * Audit new/replacement team members to make sure they understand the area of assignment. * Photograph and report supplier non-conformance. * Work with superintendents to drive corrective action and five-phase reporting. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * A minimum of 2+ years' experience within a quality support role. * Experience within the Automotive, Industrial, Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain/Logistics Industries are highly preferred. * Previous experience as a quality technician or related role is preferred. * Ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality-related issues. * Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions. Schedule/ Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) Location: Denton, TX Travel Requirements: 0% Over Time: based on business needs.
