Position Overview: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Assurance Operator 1 is responsible for testing and certifying the quality of raw materials and finished products through product sampling and batch testing support. Key duties include loading and unloading asphalt trucks and rail cars, calculating load gallons, operating forklifts, and performing basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on loading/unloading equipment. The Manager, Global Product Quality - Controlled Substances is responsible for ensuring that all activities related to controlled substances across the product lifecycle meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and comply with global regulatory requirements, including DEA regulations. The employee is occasionally required to stand, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone; reach with hands and arms to inspect equipment; climb into a forklift or on production equipment and stoop or crouch to assess equipment functioning. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing and assessing equipment functioning and various spatial relationships through distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
