JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Risk and Quality Improvement (RN) will assist the Director Of Nursing (DON) in managing the Nursing Services and systematically review the way care is delivered to patients. This position is to ensure treatment services have characteristics that can be measured, analyzed, improved, and controlled as well as perform reviews and audits for the management of risk in the health care setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

* Monitor admission and readmission charts for weekly weights

* Meet with nursing personnel, as scheduled, to assist in identifying and correcting problems, and/or the improvement of services
* Rotate call with Director of Nursing and monitor/mentor clinical staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Assist in maintaining a reference library of written nursing materials that will assist the Nursing Services Department to meet patients' needs and comply with state and federal regulations
* Assist with HBIPs, JAR and EOC reports with facility operations
* Perform emergency procedures such as Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
* Recognize, intervene and report accidents and incidents when they occur
* Assist with the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing of the Nursing Services Department

1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Quality Manager.
2 PURPOSE
2.1 Function
2.1.1 Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Procedures, related to Suppliers, in compliance with the IATF 16949 Quality System Standard.
2.1.2 Interpretation of established Customer and internal product quality standards to DAC Suppliers.
2.1.3 Participate in and/or coordinate APQP activities.
2.2 Authority
2.2.1 Ensure implementation of necessary procedures and work instructions to meet requirements of Quality System. Affect processes when needed.
3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Participate in and/or coordinate internal APQP activities, including development of schedules and status reports.
3.2 Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, and Purchasing to provide all documents and tests per DAC and Customer requirements.
3.3 Coordinate check fixture and gage development with DAC Suppliers.
3.4 Provide supplier support as needed.
3.5 Coordinate Supplier PPAP Submissions per DAC and Customer requirements and maintain status reports per DAC Supplier Management Manual.
3.6 Maintain supplier PPAP Submission files.
3.7 Alert management of any schedule concerns.
3.8 Assure the PPAP Approvals, or Interim Approvals, are communicated per applicable procedures to all affected departments.
3.9 Provide requested information to Quality Engineers regarding PPAP.
3.10 Participate in MRB meetings as assigned per DAC procedures.
3.11 Assist in maintenance of receiving Inspection sampling plans based on part histories.
3.12 Assist Receiving Inspection in QPR issuance, Supplier contact, and follow up.
3.13 Coordinate in processing of QPR's internally, including any sorting, rework, returns, and applicable chargebacks to suppliers.
3.14 Monitor and follow up Supplier corrective actions, including Supplier visits.
3.15 Maintain Supplier history reports per DAC QOS and Supplier Management Manual.
3.16 Assist in coordination of DAC Corrective Action System (CAS).
3.17 Participate in and/or coordinate C/A activities as assigned.
3.18 Provide quality support as in regards to Supplier Quality issues.
3.19 Communicate supplier quality concerns to applicable departments.
3.20 Maintenance of receiving inspection instructions per Control Plan requirements and applicable DAC procedures.
3.21 Process potential and capability studies as needed.
3.22 Monthly activity reports.
