Maintains complete, accurate customer and part quality documentation and ensures compliance with all customer-specific quality requirements. Actively supports and promotes 5S and safety programs throughout the plant. Travels as needed to support the customer base. Job Description Monitors and maintains the quality function of the inspection lab. Provides work direction for the Quality Control technicians. Interacts with customer, production and engineering to provide initial investigation and temporary countermeasures due to internal and external non conformances by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides guidance and training to the inspection technicians to ensure on-going productivity and quality parts. Provides initial investigation and temporary countermeasure of internal and external non conformances to the customer/quality engineer. Works closely as a team with production and quality engineer and manager to provide feedback from internal and external non conformances. Maintains documents and records according to department and TS 16949 requirements. Ensures testing is performed in consistent manner among Quality Control technicians. Be able to understand and operate within customer QPR systems (TMMNA, Honda, etc). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees in the Quality Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
