Primary Duties and Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by urology providers, including but not limited to KUBs, abdominal imaging, and fluoroscopy-assisted procedures (if applicable and credentialed). Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients appropriately, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate and maintain radiologic equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. Follow radiation safety protocols, including proper shielding and ALARA principles. Verify imaging orders and patient identification prior to procedures. Accurately document imaging performed in the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist providers during in-office urologic procedures requiring imaging support when appropriate. Maintain imaging room cleanliness and ensure supplies are stocked and available. Perform routine quality control checks on X-ray equipment and report any malfunctions. Comply with all federal, state, and clinic policies regarding radiologic services, HIPAA, and patient confidentiality.
