Required Experience/Qualifications * Bachelor's degree with a focus in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topics. * Three (3) years or more of related, proven experience performing similar duties. * High-level knowledge of the following: server architectures; networking devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls); operating systems; network configuration and routing protocols; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage). * Knowledge of computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. * Knowledge of storage area network (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) technologies and alternative solutions. * Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as: VM creation and management, Esxi. * Proficient in * Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP, etc. Layers 1-3 (switching, routing, VLANS) * Strong experience with Linux-based operating systems. * Experience with project logistics and working with controlled engineering baselines. * Ability and experience effectively communicating technical and programmatic issues. * Demonstrated ability to work within teams. * Strong organizational skills. * CompTIA Security+ (or higher) Certification * Top Secret clearance eligibility. Preferred Experience/Qualifications * Master's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or five (5) years or more of related, proven experience performing similar duties. * Experience with design and installation of centralized storage solutions. * Experience with advanced storage solutions and file systems such as: ZFS, BTRFS, ReFS, etc. * Experience with Cisco networking devices. * Knowledge of Dell server architectures and maintaining Dell servers. * Experience or knowledge of Splunk. * Experience or knowledge of Veeam-based backup solutions. * Experience with maintaining multi-tenant data center architectures. * Experience with complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and configuring domain services such as AD, Exchange/email, DNS, DHCP, VPN, databases, IIS, Apache, etc. * Experience with software defined networking and network function virtualization. * Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN and Git. * Experience evaluating and applying Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements. * Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
