The System Administrator will be responsible for all operations and maintenance activities for an AWS cloud-hosted analytic capability integrated with agency enterprise cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant background working with, and troubleshooting, software deployed in Linux EC2 instances, OpenShift containers, and AWS console services and will possess knowledge of server certificates, AWS networking, logging, and software deployment techniques. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of an AWS-cloud hosted capability integrated with enterprise tools
Support software deployment preparations and post-installation validation as part of the devsecops pipeline
Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
Facilitate and manage user access and user maintenance functions (account setup, user onboarding, access issues, external data source connectivity issues, etc.)
Provide system security functions for continuous monitoring, logging, and auditing
Provide performance monitoring and resolution for the system, working with external enterprise teams when necessary to identify and resolve issues such as bottlenecks, latency, or resource over/under allocation
Perform routine maintenance of the system, such as planning for and implementing software and security patches, scheduling outages, monitoring logs and interfaces
Develop efficient and repeatable processes, standard operating procedures, and automated methods for performing the system administration tasks wherever possible
Required Skills and Experience:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of experience, OR seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Security+ certificate (eligible for Privileged User access)
Strong understanding of Linux CLI, cloud-based networking, and systems administration.
Strong experience with cloud-native development and tools, including AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, and other AWS services.
Experienced with maintaining and documenting infrastructure as code (IaC)
Experience with containerization and scaled deployments using OpenShift/Kubernetes
Experience in working with Log Management tools for secure and efficient logging.
Experience with Splunk for data collection and monitoring.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure issues.
Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Artifactory and automated security scanning and testing frameworks.
