Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues across hardware, firmware, OS, and application layers, often requiring deep-dive root cause analysis.

Identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, testing and documenting security-relevant changes, and communicating with vendors to assess new
technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, SystemsEngineering, or equivalent field and at least 7 years of experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements. (2 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security +, SSCP, or equivalent) or ability to obtain one within 180 days.
Experience writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical and training manuals or similar documentation to include documents required for A&A and system administrator SOP's.
Ability to perform Tier 3 operational maintenance on audit systems to include:
systemengineering, system administration, database management, backup
administration, change configuration and management, policy creation, and
certification and accreditation procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership & Mentoring: Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and act as a subject matter expert (SME).
Fundamentally skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of VMWare. VMWare certifications are desirable.
VMware tiered certification path (VCTA, VCP, VCAP, VCDX) focusing on areas like Data Center Virtualization (DCV), Network Virtualization (NV), Cloud Management & Automation (CMA), Desktop & Mobility, and Application Modernization, with popular choices including VCP-DCV for core vSphere skills, VCP-NV for NSX, and specialists in vSAN or Cloud Foundation, validating expertise from foundational to expert design levels.
Familiar and knowledgeable in HPE infrastructure such as HPE Synergy hardware, HPE ProLiant Servers, HPE Storage solutions, HPE SimpliVity technologies.
Experience implementing, working with or troubleshooting VMware NSX-T
virtualized networking and security platform developed by VMware. It enables
automated implementation of network policies, network objects, isolation, and

Astronics Test Systems is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Support team. The role will be primarily remote, based out of the New York City area, with significant time spent at customer locations.
