SCCMHA is a comprehensive and inclusive agency that provides services to youth, families, and adults in Saginaw County living with developmental and intellectual disabilities, serious emotional disturbances, behavioral challenges, mental illness, and substance use disorders. Internship placements are assigned based on availability across various departments within the organization. This internship program is designed to provide students with practical experience and hands-on training to satisfy academic fieldwork requirements and professional development goals. INCIDENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Performs various administrative functions such as preparing reports and appearing in court. 2. Addresses community groups and organizations. 3. May serve as an officer or member of various mental health related community agencies which promote general goals of SCCMHA. 4. Attends meetings, seminars, workshops, and community events related to the public mental health mission and to sustain professional competency. 5. Reacts productively to change and handles other essential tasks as assigned. 6. Fulfill the number of hours required by the College/University.
