Nemours Children's Health Delaware Valley Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiologist to lead our diagnostic and interventional Pediatric and Congenital Catheterization Lab. The Director of the Interventional Congenital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory ("The Director") will oversee the catheterization program's medical direction in collaboration with other divisions and programs of the Cardiac Center, including cardiovascular surgery, cardiac anesthesia, nursing, and hospital administration. The Director will lead the Cardiac Catheterization team of pediatric and congenital interventionalists, nursing and technicians in performing diagnostic and interventional congenital catheterization procedures at our hospital.
Congenital and Interventional Catheterization Program Highlights and Clinical Responsibilities
The Director will be one of two full-time pediatric interventional cardiologists who perform the full complement of catheterizations from newborn through adults with congenital heart disease and provide 24/7 cath coverage at our hospital. We currently perform approximately 300 diagnostic and interventional cath procedures annually, including post-transplant surveillance evaluations (biopsies) and hybrid interventions. We are enrolled in the IMPACT and C3PO registries. Additional registry enrollments are pending.
The Director will work with hospital administration and the Cardiac Center leadership team to optimize the program's structure and administrative organization.
The Director will be responsible for ensuring excellent procedural outcomes and for providing cutting-edge interventional technologies in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
The Director will lead and encourage all academic aspects of the program and its members, including scientific investigation, implementation of robust quality improvement processes, and Fellow education/curriculum development.
The Director will oversee data and inventory management for the program's clinical activities.
Additional Clinical Responsibilities
The Director will care for patients and their families both in inpatient and outpatient settings. Night and weekend call coverage will be performed in rotation with other members of the cardiology team.
The Director will participate in Cardiac Center conferences including but not limited to surgical and cath conferences, Morbidity & Mortality conferences, etc.

Short Description
The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary
health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a
designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the
nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
Follows established policies and procedures.
Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management
and physicians.

Education: Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
License/Certification Requirements
License/Certifications/Registration: Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse); Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)
