About the role
This position exists to consult on all aspects of Global Data Conversion Software Engineering including AI and legacy development, design, fabrication, and engineering maintenance. This role identifies ways fabrication solutions can be applied to support business strategies. This role will partner with the Operations Director, business units, Offshore teams as well as other technical teams to identify and define strategic direction. The Global Content Consultant - Conversion Engineering role provides support and ensures the rapid completion of high severity incident reports and time-critical projects. Incumbents will conduct analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost-benefit analysis. They also review estimates and designs to ensure compliance with content, product and fabrication standards. This role creates and updates documentation to support standards and processes. This position will have responsibility for consulting and/or leading Global cross-functional projects, including creating and driving project plans to completion and delivering them on schedule. This position will also be responsible for driving and implementing Continuous Improvement Initiatives as well as AI opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Provides Global Engineering Fabrication support and technical Product expertise by acting as the primary support for offshore partners, finalizing requirements, and reviewing and validating sizings and project schedules for News, Business and Topical content.
Participates in cross-functional projects to create and implement new systems and technologies.
Utilizes an extensive network across the company including managing relationships with strategic partners and Global content providers/publishers
Supports offshore partners to ensure they achieve Service Level Agreements (SLA).
May be required to work on-call and/or to work different shift hours to accommodate varying time zones.
Recommends, drives and implements process efficiencies, automation and AI.
Occasional International Travel possible
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven ability to work independently, collaboratively, and lead Global teams consisting of both employees and offshore partner resources.
Demonstrates the initiative to master technical and complex processes.
Bachelor's degree in software engineering
Experience in Python, Databricks, Perl, C/C++, HTML, XML and UNIX
Familiarity with AI technologies
Excellent oral and written communication with proven ability to provide both detailed information and summarize to a management level
Tenacity; ability to work through problems and reach a solutions
Ability to teach, mentor, and supervise co-workers and offs

Salary range

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $77,300 - $128,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. If performed in Ohio, the pay range is $73,400 - $122,300.
