Essential Job Functions
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with women's health procedures and exams
Take patient vitals, document medical histories, and update records in the EMR
Room patients efficiently while maintaining a warm, professional experience
Perform clinical tasks such as injections, specimen collection, testing, and lab prep
Maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure readiness of all exam rooms
Communicate clearly with patients regarding instructions, follow-up, and clinical needs
Support front-office functions when needed, including scheduling and patient flow
Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and privacy standards
Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to support daily clinic operations
Perform other related clinical and administrative duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Previous Medical Assistant experience required; women's health or OB/GYN preferred
MA certification or diploma
Strong communication and patient-service skills
Comfortable working in a high-volume clinical setting

* Performing clinical assessments of study subjects as per protocol, as delegated by PI, and under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician. These assessments include, but are not limited to, collecting VS, performing ECG, and venipuncture, etc.
* All work is done following Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), Corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and principles outlined in the CFR 21 and ICH guidelines.
* Other duties as assigned
It is an on-site position and requires a flexible schedule. The salary for this position is $26/hr.

The Medical Office Assistant will help providers with various health care services to include, but not limited to, exceptional customer service skills, verify patient information, collection of current and past due balances, support services and clerical duties following established policies and protocols. These include greeting patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, updating the EMR system, etcetera.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews and prepares medical records to ensure completeness prior to patient exam, obtaining missing documentation. Documents clinic visit, in EMR system.
Greet patients, check-in patients, verify and validate patient information.
Performs clerical duties and completes work lists, and other administrative duties during admin-time.
Schedule patient appointments in EMR system, ensuring patient information is accurate and patient is scheduled as required, per provider scheduling procedures.
Obtains, verifies, and updates patient insurance information.
Requests, locates, sends, receives and maintains office/department and patient records.
Exhibits an excellent and high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure patients complete registration forms and other required forms at check-in.
Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with OSHA, federal, state and local regulations.
Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality workflow procedures and metrics.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
Provide Medical Office Assistant clinical support for other site locations as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent (Required)
2 years of Medical Office experience (Required)
2 years of Medical Receptionist experience
Certified Medical Office Assistant (Preferred)
CPR Certification (Required)
Ability to proficiently operate and perform computer related tasks with specific office equipment and software applications (Required)
Physical Requirements:
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. The MOA is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
