Job Summary: The Center for Engineering and Precision Medicine (CEPM), a partnership between Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS), is hiring Constellation and Constellation-affiliated chaired and non-chaired tenured faculty in the area of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (TERM). ****************************************
Successful candidates will enjoy tenured faculty status at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and will be based at the CEPM labs at 619 West 54th Street in New York City, with additional research also available at the Rensselaer campus in Troy, New York. Constellations are led by up to four faculty members in a broad area of multidisciplinary research.
Candidates will have strengths in research areas that include stem cell biology and bioengineering, developmental biology, cellular engineering (such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and transcriptomics), compositional analysis and modification/engineering of the extracellular matrix, cell signaling and regulation as pertaining to intra- and extracellular-tissue interactions, wound healing, cellular regeneration and repair, immune system interactions, neuromodulation, and inflammation.
About the Center: CEPM is one of the first centers in the nation to bridge engineering and engineering science with precision medicine and is built on a strong history of collaboration between Rensselaer and ISMMS that since 2013 has attracted over $80M in joint funding and provided shared educational and research experiences across two campuses. This undertaking will build on a wealth of shared basic research discoveries, explore unique therapeutic innovations in regenerative and reparative medicine, cancer, neurologic and myriad infectious diseases; educate a new generation of biomedical leaders; and develop new technologies and processes that enhance patient outcomes in unprecedented ways. The center will drive advances in point-of-care and point-of-use devices and diagnostics; microphysiological platforms for discovery and diagnosis; robotic surgery; biomedical imaging; therapeutics biomanufacturing; and artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to biomedical data. These engineering advances will improve patients' quality of life by synergizing state-of-the-art expertise in research and education at the nexus of engineering and medicine.
The center is home to a joint Mt. Sinai and RPI Ph.D. program in health sciences engineering
Requirements: We seek applications from outstanding candidates at the full professor level, although exceptional associate professor candidates will be considered, who will build upon our existing strengths in these and related areas across the university. Candidates will have a terminal doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, biological sciences or chemistry, or a related field, and have developed an internationally recognized interdisciplinary research program, attracted external grant funding to support this research, and will contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching, and engage in department, institute, and professional service activities.
Pay Transparency
The expected hiring ranges for the NYC based positions are:
* Full Chaired Professor - $250,000 - $300,000 per 9-month academic year
* Full Professor (not chaired) - $225,000 - $262,500 per 9-month academic year
* Associate Chaired Professor - $160,000 - $187,500 per 9-month academic year
* Associate Professor (not chaired) - $140,000 - $150,000 per 9-month academic year

Responsibilities
* Schedules, organizes, and executes digital imaging sessions in a dedicated photography studio. Position Summary
The Ultrasound Elasticity Imaging Laboratory (UEIL) at Columbia University is seeking a full-time Research Assistant, Cardiac with a one-year commitment. The majority of work will consist of ultrasound signal processing using Matlab, and there are many opportunities for involvement in clinical study coordination, large animal experiments, writing and optimizing code (Matlab, python, CUDA), ultrasound system,s and sequence design.
Our lab works on developing novel, ultrasound-based techniques for both diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Using non-invasive imaging techniques, we aim to diagnose cardiovascular and vascular diseases more accurately and reliably than existing diagnostic methods. We are looking for a laboratory assistant to help us with multiple projects at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in the City of New York.

Responsibilities
* (30%) Assist with clinical cardiac and vascular imaging studies, as well as large animal cardiac studies

Responsibilities
Administrative Support
* Maintain confidential faculty records on the Google Drive, a Department of History repository space for faculty.
* Process and maintain departmental records in shared drives for individual faculty, including offer and retention letters, annual salary letters, renewal letters, and review materials.
* Coordinate faculty reviews in accordance with established A&S and Provostial procedures, under the supervision of the DAAF.
* Maintain dossiers for junior faculty reviews and materials for tenure cases, including:
* Preparing lists of comparables, consultants, and referees
* Processing referee requests for tenure review materials

* Providing access to letters by appropriate tenured faculty

Responsibilities
Student Coordination
* Serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries, providing guidance and triage support on academic and career-related matters.

Responsibilities
Pre-Award Activities
* Provide Principal Investigators (PIs) with pre-award financial administration support.
* Serve as a liaison between the PIs and the Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA). Initiate in SPA's internal review system, RASCAL, as well as through the submission portals of various agencies.
* Proactively research, identify, and communicate funding opportunities to Principal Investigators to support ongoing and future research initiatives.

Course Description
Making urban areas livable, sustainable, and desirable is a top priority for governmental bodies, economists, business leaders, realtors, and many other key stakeholders. Shaping the way our society operates is a big job, and it's why urban planning is such a sought-after career. Becoming an urban planner requires a combination of sophisticated skills that includes architecture, engineering, and design. Through this course, students will explore the fundamentals of urban planning, learn how to build effective communities, and discuss the best practices of working with land (including infrastructure, water, and air) to design healthy, happy, and in-demand habitats. Additionally, students will explore how transportation, business districts, and environmental concerns impact development through hands-on experiences, like field trips. By the end of the course, students will have an acumen for discussing history, theory, and pressing social issues that impact both real estate and residents' quality of life.

* Independently researches and leverages data to inform projects and strategies, including the use of the full range of capabilities of the new donor database, ensuring that stewardship efforts are tracked in an appropriate and timely manner, and that stewardees' personal preferences are taken into account in any stewardship project.
* As appropriate, communicates directly with, and serves as a point person for, donors and alumni on matters pertaining to A&S donor relations, such as serving on the core team for key donors in order to support them during Gift Officer transitions.
* Ensures internal partners are updated with plans for upcoming touchpoints and independently ensures that touchpoints are deployed in a timely manner; works with the Senior Associate Director of Development Programs and Communications on deployment of email communications.
* Manages document and process flow, at times involving multiple programs and stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met with the highest quality products.
* In collaboration with academic partners, ensures University compliance with donor intent and gift agreements, as well as the timely deployment of donor-gifted funds.
* Remains current with research and programming within the Arts & Sciences.
* Serves as a resource in identifying and matching donor interests with institutional needs.
* Partners with colleagues in Central Stewardship and Columbia College on special stewardship projects as needed, and other special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required, including a minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a donor relations or frontline fundraising environment, preferably in higher education, or similarly complex and dynamic environment.
* A strong understanding of the development process, particularly in the cultivation and stewardship of major gifts, is essential.
* Working on evenings and weekends may be required from time to time.

Position Summary
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition has created a new and exciting opportunity for a full-time nutritionist at the new White Plains practice site. As a key member of the Gastroenterology team, the nutritionist will be responsible for providing skilled nutritional care and counseling to pediatric patients and families affected by conditions including Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, poor weight gain, overweight, as well as general gastrointestinal conditions. All sessions (8-9 per week) will be conducted at the White Plains location.
Responsibilities
Generate and oversee nutritional treatment plans for children/families as their primary dietitian, spanning the therapeutic spectrum from primary dietary therapy to comprehensive nutrition support.
* Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of children, teenagers and young adults
* Define and develop evidence-based practice of dietary therapy as primary treatment modality, including appropriate application.
* Monitor progress of nutritional care regimens.
Obtain and maintain expertise in current advances in evidence-based nutritional management of pediatric nutrition as it pertains to gastroenterology conditions.
* Acquire knowledge of best practices.
* Educate fellow professionals of current dietary practices in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
