Reporting directly to the Manager Operations at Blythe Energy Inc., this position is responsible for maintaining high plant efficiency while ensuring the safe efficient operation of the Blythe Energy facility by operating with a high regard for Health and Safety. May be required to up-relieve as Production Technician Leader - 1 temporarily to ensure efficient operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for issuing work permits for tasks to be performed; considers all aspects of the task and ensures safety before issuing permits, and ensures all equipment is safe before maintenance or repair work commences.
Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, and P&IDs, and improve operating procedures by scheduling reviews or immediately if conditions warrant it.
Works with the Production Technician Leader in Maximo duties, including preventative maintenance, reliability checks, weekly regulatory checks, and weekly work orders assigned to operations and are completed in a timely fashion.
Interacts with Engineering and Maintenance teams to assist in keeping the facility mechanically sound through inspections and system trends.
Responds quickly to operating deviations to maintain safe operating conditions, and productivity and to minimize downtime in the plant.
Knowledgeable of all safety and environmental hazards and ensures that all personnel adhere to established safety policies.
Follows environmental and site-specific procedures before issuing work permits and is knowledgeable of all Blythe Energy processes and procedures.
Collaborates with team members to achieve all Blythe Energy requirements and assists in Blythe Energy EH&S inspections/action items.
Has a thorough understanding of Blythe Energy Emergency Response Plans and be able to support the Production Technician Leader / On Scene Commander in absence of the Senior Management.
Oversee training programs and assist in making recommendations that will improve and maintain Plant efficiency and safety, thorough knowledge and understanding of the plant process and all of its sub-systems.
Provides on-the-job training to junior operators so they will be able to advance to positions of greater responsibility as outlined in the Blythe Energy Training & Progression plan.
Knowledgeable of the Power Purchasing Agreement and possessing thorough knowledge of the Title V air permit is essential.
Temporarily Up-Relieve as Production Technician Leader - 1 when necessary for career development and/or to ensure efficient operations.
Miscellaneous duties as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Advancement to Production Technician Leader based on vacancy/job posting.
Knowledgeable in the operations of a natural gas combined cycle power plant
Minimum 1 year combined cycle power plant control room operator experience
High School/ GED
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be willing to work required overtime.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must have an excellent understanding of managing plant economics with regard to power consumption and stream processing priorities.
Must be able to identify work priorities, meet deadlines, and function with little or no supervision.

+ Perform ground maintenance (mowing, watering, removing snow), paints, and cleans buildings.
+ Assist in developing operating procedures with corresponding Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and write technical procedures, update logs and reports on plant equipment.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Completion of a certificate program or associate's degree in Process Technology, Power Generation Technology or related; or
+ A high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and 2 years of maintenance or operations experience in an industrial, coal-based/combustion turbine generation, or combined cycle generation power plant.
+ A valid driver's license.
+ Working up to 12 hrs. rotating shifts.
**PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS**
This position requires continuous sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and reaching; frequent bending, kneeling, and using keyboard/computer; and occasional crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This position requires finger dexterity, good color vision and hearing. Working conditions may frequently include chemicals and noise, and occasionally extreme heat, cold, dirt, and dust. The incumbent will also be required to work occasionally at heights up to 200 feet, which requires the use of safety equipment, including a harness, in accordance with ANSI Z359 standards. This position must be respirator qualified and able to operate a motor vehicle.

**Responsibilities**

+ Prepares Hazardous Waste for shipment and completes checklist for DOT and RCRA compliance of shipments.
+ Responsible for Manifests of all hazardous wastes-ensures timely receipt of originals from Clean Harbors.
+ Tracks, maintains, inspects and provides to Safety/Environmental department inventory of Spill Kits in area.
+ Ensures proper recycle of empty Hazardous Drums.

* Reviews and interprets complex design drawings, plans, and specifications for proposed changes in existing facilities and for construction of new wastewater facilities; evaluates designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with industry practices; performs detailed analysis to identify inadequacies, ambiguities, errors, and potential problems.
* Designs new systems or modifies existing systems.
* Identifies type and scope of work and develops work specifications; interfaces with vendors, contractors and consultants to direct, coordinate, inspect and accept work; identifies and resolves problems associated with contract work; recommends modifications to contract scope of work and/or enforcement of contract language.
* Provides engineering support and guidance in troubleshooting complex process problems as needed to ensure that process, systems, and/or facility modifications enhance operation of facility. System troubleshooting includes digital control software and equipment.
* Analyzes laboratory and other reports, including process efficiency data; identifies causes of non-routine events; recommends process control strategies and adjustments to process variables affecting the quantity and quality of process effluent; identifies how adjustments in one unit process impact other unit processes and overall plant performance.

Pack sand molds and pour molten metals into sand molds
Break up sand molds and slag
Ability to apply mold coating, ramming/packing sand molds, closing, furnace operations, and shakeout
Skim slag from surface of molten metal
Remove gates, sprues and other projections from castings
Measure out correct amounts of materials for furnace and loads charge
Monitor the pouring of molten metal into molds and other forms to create castings with the help of ladles and hand-operated equipment.
Carefully track the temperature gauges and color, heating units, furnace flames, etc. to melt metal as per requirements.

Distribution Duties
Install hydrants, valves, meters, or meter settings.
Install or replace service saddles or service lines from main to meter setting.
Able to make service or main hot taps using tapping equipment.
Able to locate service lines or mains.
Able to cut, thread and attach sections of pipe or install repair sleeves as needed.
Able to operate dump trucks, vac trucks, excavators, trailers or other equipment.
Able to load dump trucks with crushed stone, cold-mix asphalt or dirt.

Qualifications
Requires joining Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 553 after completing the 90-day probation period.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in water distribution systems preferred.
Valid Driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain Class A CDL an applicable endorsement along with DOT Medical Card within 6 months of hire or transfer. Ability to obtain and maintain an Illinois IEPA Wastewater Collections Certificate within 2 years of hire or transfer.
Underground utility construction experience preferred.
Schedule
The regular hours of work each day will be consecutive except that they may be interrupted by a half-hour lunch period. Work hours for the position are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. This position will be included in and required to perform on call duties as described in the current Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 553 agreement. Emergencies and extenuating circumstances may require temporary schedule changes.

Support small-batch production and prototype builds for R&D and customer delivery.

Conduct precision inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other hand tools.
Operate and support advanced metrology systems, including 3D scanners and CMM equipment.
Apply GD&T principles to verify compliance with technical drawings.
General understanding of fits, tolerances, and clearances.

The Tampa Bay Rays are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented candidates for our part-time affiliate Baseball Technology Operator positions. These individuals will be responsible for running one of the TrackMan, KinaTrax, or Hawkeye systems for Rays' affiliate home games. The number of games each Operator will work will vary by week based on availability and the season schedule. Given the part-time nature of this role, it has been a great fit for (but not limited to) both students and individuals with a 9-to-5 type job who want to spend additional time watching baseball. The typical day-in-the-life of this role requires arriving half an hour before the first pitch and ensuring all systems are properly set up for the game. You'll log and monitor the full game until the final out. There is also post-game data processing work involved that generally takes fifteen minutes. Our Technology Operators will start as soon as possible, coinciding with the affiliate season with built-in time for onboarding to learn any necessary technology. You will be watching baseball, and following every single pitch, play, move, and substitution. If your gut reaction was “amazing, I get paid for that?”, then please continue! This position also has the potential to be remote.
Responsibilities
Responsible for setting up rosters and accurately tagging information.
Log entire games - monitor the system to ensure smooth operations, document changes (defensive substitutions, roster changes, etc).
Assisting in troubleshooting any system issues with TrackMan, KinaTrax, Hawkeye support lines
Fixing any errors and uploading the game to the appropriate sites.
