The Database Engineering Team is responsible for full stack development of a family of databases including Oracle NoSQL Database, Oracle Times-Ten In-Memory Database, and the industry-leading Oracle Database itself. Fish and Feathers is a program funded by the National Park Service (NPS) and administered by Environment for the Americas. The overall goal is to increase diverse community engagement with NPS partners during the program and in years to come.

Acadia National Park is headquartered in Bar Harbor, Maine, on Mount Desert Island along the North Atlantic coastline, about 264 miles from Boston, Mass., and 50 miles from Bangor, Maine. At four million visits a year, Acadia is among the top 10 most visited national parks in the United States. Visitors enjoy 27 miles of historic motor roads, 158 miles of hiking trails, and 45 miles of carriage roads. The island's 18 summits, including Cadillac Mountain (1,530 feet/466 meters), are the highest on the Atlantic Coast north of Rio de Janeiro.
The climate has significant seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters. Work is primarily in the field with long periods of standing and walking on uneven terrain in all types of weather including intense heat in the summer. Ticks and stinging insects are part of the outdoor environment.
