Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities Collects soil samples in Altadena and Palisades areas of Los Angeles. Test soil samples. What you will be doing * Assists with coordination and promotion of workshops, meetings, programs and conferences * Assists in the coordination of new faculty orientation programs * Provides on-going administrative support to faculty and staff that deliver workshops and programs * Assists with general office operations * Coordinates and prepares booklets and materials for classes, workshops and meetings * Maintains adequate inventory of promotional materials and office supplies * Maintains and updates promotional materials * Assists in the creation and maintenance of program files * Provides general information and answers calls regarding CIOL programs * Serves as a liaison between CIOL and program participants * Assists in continuous program evaluation * Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience * Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures * Possess knowledge of and experience with general office practices and procedures * Ability to adapt to a high volume office environment * Capability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and to follow-through on a timely basis * Possess capacity to work independently or with minimal supervision and be self-motivated * Proficiency in interacting with people of all levels and exercising considerable poise, tact, patience, and courtesy at all times * Possess Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office * Ability to travel from campus to campus * Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff * Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments Additional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
