SUMMARY
The role of the Construction Job-Site Superintendent is to work hand-in-hand with a project manager, manage the delegation of tasks to subcontractors and RCM staff on-site, maintain project schedules, and organize daily tasks. The Construction Job-Site Supervisor is to work on construction projects of various scopes & sizes, while transferring from multiple tasks where demands require.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Work with the Project Manager to organize daily tasks.
Manage project timeline and build 2-week schedule
Communicate and Delegate tasks to subcontractors.
Perform quality assurance on projects.
Ensure safety regulations are being followed by subcontractors and employees.
Use hand tools on a daily basis.
Operate construction equipment, i.e. lifts, skid steers.
Read and understand blueprints.
Clean construction sites.
Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure deadlines are being met.
Ensure punch list items are complete.

Monitors overall project(s) performance to productivity, safety and quality standards and takes the appropriate action to resolve issues.
Reviews and approves daily time for their crew(s), time reports, invoices, and purchase orders and other required paperwork.
Responsible for daily preventative maintenance on construction equipment and reports issues to the Fleet Manager immediately.
Responsible for reporting weekly to the Fleet Manager information such as equipment hours, miles, etc.
Responsible for understanding project contracts for projects assigned.
Abide by all company and manufacturer provided safety operational procedures, industry safety standards, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
Establishes a positive working relationship with crews, customers, and subcontractors.
Responsible for documenting and maintaining a daily log of project events.
Manage documents and elevates change orders for approval in a timely manner.
Approve subcontractors' units, production, quality, accuracy, and inventory.

Education and/or Experience:
Work Experience: Five (5) years supervisory experience within a utility construction setting. Demonstrated field experience with digging operations in city and rural areas around utilities and operating equipment such as backhoe/loader, excavator, cable plow and compact track loader, including various attachments.

Valid Driver's License, Class A CDL preferred.

Position Overview:
As a Job Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with fellow supervisors, sales staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects. You will oversee all aspects of on-site construction while maintaining quality standards, safety protocols, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise all construction activities related to assigned residential and commercial projects
Coordinate and schedule materials and subcontractors to align with project timelines
Review, coordinate, and approve vendor-based drawings for production
Work with the development supervisor to align site infrastructure with construction plans
Maintain jobsite cleanliness to ensure safety and quality control
Uphold and enforce Signature Companies' quality standards on every project
Maintain open, honest communication with vendors, team members, subcontractors, homeowners, and stakeholders
Assist in hiring and training assistant supervisors, and lead plan reviews prior to project start
Support procurement of additional trades in line with budgetary guidelines
Enforce all company safety policies on job sites
Complete final punch lists and oversee successful project closeout
Perform additional duties as assigned

Responsible for supervision of field operations and direct activities of craft workers
Directs daily progress of the job by ensuring adequate staffing, sufficient supplies and materials, timely deliveries of materials and maintaining all necessary paperwork required
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction based on established starting and completion times
Standard Duties
Supervision of craft employees and ensuring staffing requirements for each phase of construction
Confer with Project Manager and Subcontractors in the planning and execution of work procedures, interpreting specifications and resolving problems
Participate in scope reviews of completed bid packages to ensure that all materials, supplies and assemblies are purchased
Develop and administer the site utilization program, site services, security arrangements, other facilities and arrangements necessary for support to the construction effort
Assist the Project Manager in identifying field-construction and work-sequence considerations when finalizing purchases
Generate and confirm all information needed by the Project Manager to create, monitor and modify the progress schedule
Approve all subcontractor billings then submit to the Project Manager

High School degree and accredited OSHA Safety training in a related craft, with 5 years supervisory experience. Must have experience in commercial buildings; schools; hospitals; Aerospace industry.

Lead projects from estimating through final closeout

Ensure Company policies and guidelines are followed.
Works with Inspection Department and Inspectors and utility companies for job completion.

Qualifications
Must have 5+ years experience/knowledge of electrical construction as a Superintendent or in a similar position in Commercial, Institutional and Industrial environment.
Have thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.)
Proficient in MS Office.
State Journeyman License may be required. Forklift Certificate, Ramset and Scissor Lift, Confined Space, Trenching, Scaffolding, and Fall Protection Certificates, preferred; or general knowledge of these classes required. CPR and First AidCompetent Person Certified
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

We are looking for a self-assured, reliable commercial construction project manager to supervise several commercial projects. The commercial construction project manager will be tasked with directing and coordinating the construction team and all subcontractors, ensuring tools, equipment, and material are available, preparing reports, negotiating contracts, and analyzing risks. You should be able to work well within a team and also liaise with external vendors.
To be successful as a commercial construction project manager, you should have in-depth knowledge of construction management and also be familiar with health and safety regulations. A top candidate should have an analytical mind, superb organizational skills, and good negotiation strategies.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
Negotiating the best contracts to ensure maximum profitability.
Obtaining relevant permits and licenses.
Determining the necessary resources (time, cost, labor, materials) for each project.
Hiring staff and contractors.
Providing guidance and supervision as required.
Assessing the progress and performance of all workers involved.
Performing detailed analyses and drawing up reports for relevant stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with all building, safety, and governmental regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or similar.
Relevant certification may be required.
Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials, and tools.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Site Superintendent to be responsible for coordinating and overseeing assigned project work sites to ensure the achievement of quality, safety, and profitability objectives. Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and managing site personnel to meet project goals and deliverables.
* Scheduling all site activities in compliance with federal and state regulations.
* Directing subcontractors and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
* Managing project budgets to maintain financial objectives.
* Collaborating with Quality and Safety teams as well as Health and Human Health (HHHealth) Program Managers to uphold organizational standards and regulatory compliance.
Depending on the project scope, responsibilities may also include fulfilling the role of a Quality Control Manager or Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
In the Quality Control Manager (QCM) role, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all operations are conducted in strict accordance with the Industrial Services Quality Manual. This position leverages the Industrial Services Quality Program, along with relevant policies, guidance documents, and Standard Operating Procedures, to support fuel system services.
In the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) role, the incumbent is responsible for managing, communicating, implementing, and enforcing compliance with all applicable safety and health standards. This includes adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1 requirements, Tepa's Accident Prevention Plan, and other approved safety and health submittals.
Job Functions:
* Maintains strict attention to contracts and task orders on-site at all times during the performance of all construction work.
* Exercises the authority and responsibility to STOP WORK for specific activities related to or affected by, noncompliant conditions until actions can be taken to correct the noncompliant condition or prevent it from affecting related or subsequent work.
* Attends all in-briefs and out-briefs.
* Directs and performs field activities including site management, inspection/repair/construction/ maintenance/demolition oversight, sample collection, data analysis, and report preparation.
* Coordinates technical activities with other professionals and field personnel to accomplish the efficient and smooth implementation of project directives.
* Provides technical supervision and assistance to ensure that project activities are technically valid.
* Identifies potential hazards associated with project activities and procedures to mitigate them.
* Coordinates the preparation of required interim and final deliverables.
* Acts as working leader and coordinates all technical activities in an efficient manner to ensure that the project requirements and deadlines are met.
* Validates field schedule and provide updates on a weekly basis to the Project Manager.
* Performs rough order of cost estimates for any field changes (e.g. changed conditions, Statement of Work changes, etc.).
* Maintains project field documentation.
* Acts as liaison with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and/or internal departments on technical matters, as required.
* Ensures compliance with contract documents and specifications.
* Serves, when authorized by contract and meeting requisite qualifications, as the Quality Control Manager (QCM). Implements the Three-Phase Quality Control (QC) Process, Testing Plan, deficiency tracking, daily QC reporting and submittal management.
* Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and/or internal departments on quality related matters.
* Records QC activities in a daily report and log book.
* Ensures compliance with contract documents and specifications.
* Has on-hand all applicable plans, specifications, and other related documents when conducting phased QC inspections.
* Serves, when authorized by contract and meeting requisite qualifications, as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO). Performs safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement.
* Implements project safety processes as stipulated by the approved Health and Safety Plan, Accident Prevention Plan, and Activity Hazard Analyses.
* Conducts daily, weekly and/or monthly safety briefings, as required.
* Conducts daily and monthly site safety audits.
* Fills out or obtains daily work permits such as but not limited to (confined space, hot work, safe work or dig permits).
* Works with Project Manager to obtain safety certifications for subcontractor employees on various tasks such as but not limited to (fall protection, confined space entry/attendant, trenching, equipment operations, asbestos and lead abatement).
* Documents competent persons on site for each scope of work.
* Has competent persons amend activity hazard analysis to reflect any field changes on project sites.
* Implements reporting procedures in the event of an incident or accident.
* Investigates and evaluates incidents/accidents to determine procedural changes necessary to preclude recurrence.
* Monitors safety certifications of project employees including subcontractors.
* Follows SOPs regarding safety and risk mitigation.
* Prepares and submits incident, accident and Near Miss/Good Catch events to Director of Corporate Safety and Health.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
* Minimum of 5 years of DoD fuel systems construction-related field management experience
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DoD Construction QCM
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DoD Construction SSHO
* Experience using the USACE Resident Management System
* OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within the last 5 years
* 8 Hours of continuous education annually in construction training in accordance with EM 385 1-1
* Shall have attended a professionally accredited QC management course (e.g. conducted by the USACE or Naval Facility Engineering Command, including a current certification within the last five years
* First aid/CPR certification
* American Petroleum Institute (API) 570 Piping Inspector Certification
* API Aboveground Tank Inspector Certification
* NACE International Level I Coating Inspector Certification
* Steel Tank Institute Tank Systems Inspector Certification
* OSHA 500 Trainer certification
* 40 Hour Hazwopper with 8 hour refreshers annually
* 24 hour Fall protection competent person certification
* Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Fluent in the English language
* Ability to read and write technical documents
* Ability to read technical drawings
* Knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineering welding codes and American Petroleum Institute 570/650/653 standards
