The Surgical Technologist provides clinical support in the Champaign Endoscopy Center. As a member of the endoscopy team, the Surgical Technologist assists with patient care activities, obtains specimens, assists physician with instruments and setting up and tearing down room between cases. Role includes reprocessing of endoscopes and accessory instruments and resource for technical equipment within the department. Applies the principles of asepsis in a knowledgeable manner to maintain a clean and/or sterile environment. Maintains separation of clean and dirty. Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician Department: Emergency Services Hours Per Week: Per Diem Schedule: Variable The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides immediate medical care and transport of patients during emergencies, playing a critical role in stabilizing and ensuring safe transport to medical facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responds to emergency calls, assess patients' conditions, and determine appropriate medical interventions, coordinating with dispatch as necessary. Safely transport patients to medical facilities, monitoring their condition and providing necessary care during transit. Administer CPR, control bleeding, manage airways, and provide other life-saving measures to stabilize patients. Utilize essential medical equipment such as, but not limited to, defibrillators, oxygen delivery systems. Work closely with paramedics, firefighters, law enforcement, and hospital staff to ensure coordinated patient care reporting nature of injury as indicated. Maintain accurate and detailed patient care reports, documenting assessments, treatments, and patient responses. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of emergency vehicles and medical equipment.
