Preferred: * Preferred experience in one or more of the following practices (Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Radiology or Urology) * Preferred billing certifications * 2+ years of Medical Collections follow-ups is preferred. * Preferred coding knowledge Scheduling Requirements: * Full-Time, Day, Hourly - 37.5 hours a week * Remote - must reside in NJ, NY, or PA Essential Functions: * Able to identify some levels of coding claim discrepancies on denied claims. Able to identify when to forward coding issues to the coding area or dispute * Proven experience in insurance verification regarding related claim denials and or under payments * Preparing, reviewing, and submitting claims when needed * Researching and appealing denied claims per policies * Ability to multi-task, efficient, while providing high standards of customer service. * Provide account and billing information to patients, explain to patients the reason for their balance. * Strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10). * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient and insurance interaction. * ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
