Performs at semi-skilled to skilled level the duties and procedures listed below in the construction, maintenance and repair of storm water drainage systems. Some responsibilities may be performed without direct supervision. Trains and works as a team member to complete entire job, from planning to clean-up. Reports to Drainage Maintenance Worker IV.
Position Salary Range:
Drainage Maintenance Worker I: $20.35 - $26.81
Drainage Maintenance Worker II: $21.60 - $28.43

Key Responsibilities:
Drainage Maintenance Worker I:
* Under supervision, does unskilled to routine-semi-skilled work in constructing, maintaining and cleaning drainage lines through use of hand power tools, high-pressure equipment and mechanical rodders.
* Assists with line location by using electronic, manual and other devices. May use maps and charts.
* Uses jackhammer and other power tools in the excavation of line and box beds. Uses tamper to compact and level surfaces. Hoses, sweeps, shovels and performs other procedures necessary to clean up site and remove spoil.
* Under supervision, operates vactor truck for cleaning and maintenance. Also, may begin training on the operation of some or all of the following equipment: backhoe, track hoe, dragline, fusion machine, Cat, or grader.
* After related equipment training, operates 10-wheel dump truck and front-end loader.
* Under supervision, calculates elevations and slope angles; reads and interprets maps, charts and blueprints.
* Assists in containment of hazardous spills, traffic control and installation of appropriate barriers. Responds to emergencies.
* Performs other related duties as required, and as necessary in accordance with apprenticeship training, to acquire skills expected of journey-level Drainage Maintenance Worker.
Drainage Maintenance Worker II:
* Assists other team members to plan and schedule work to construct, maintain and repair the City's storm drain maintenance system. Territory covered is a 110-square mile area, including more than 3,000 drainage structures.
* Knows how to perform "total" project. On new construction, this includes reading and interpreting blueprints, maps and construction drawings, if any; using transit, level, and simple math to compute slope angles and calculate grades; assisting in clearing with blue stake requirements and deciding placement of boxes, lines and connections.
* May operate backhoe or track hoe to excavate beds for connection boxes and lines and to lift pipe and other structures. Operates 10-wheel dump truck and front-end loader to load and haul fill and spoil. Uses jackhammer and concrete saw as necessary.
* Fabricates, forms, pours and finishes concrete boxes. Prepares and compacts line bed to code specifications. Assists in positioning pipe, and joining, using fusion machine and other connectors as appropriate. After backfill of trench, uses tamper to compact and level surface. On occasion, may help prepare final asphalt cover. Hoses, sweeps, shovels, and performs other procedures necessary to clean up site and remove spoil.
* On existing lines, maintains and repairs through use of various types of tools, including high-pressure equipment, mechanical rodders and vactors. Locates lines through use of electronic, manual and other locating devices. Uses maps and charts to detail location and may assist in charting when necessary. Takes measurements of locations, and plots corrections on maps and charts as appropriate.
* Routinely operates vactor truck for cleaning and maintenance; also may operate or train in the operation of some or all of the following equipment: backhoe, track hoe, drag bucket machine. May also perform metals welding and grate fabrication.
* Assists in hazardous spill containment. Also assists in water testing program by collecting samples. Programs and operates sampler machine and completes simple bench tests. Drainage water is tested for turbidity, chemicals, hydrocarbons, chlorine, detergents, metals, pH and oxygen.
* Provides traffic control; installs and maintains appropriate barricades and cones, and explains maintenance operation to general public when requested.
* Keeps records of time, material and equipment. May train new employees and assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
* Responds to emergencies, and suggests changes in methods and procedures.
* Performs other related duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Drainage Maintenance Worker I:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent and one year's paid work experience performing general maintenance work or heavy labor. Ability to read, write, do simple math and follow written and oral instructions.
* Some knowledge of methods, tools and materials used in general maintenance and repair work, and ability to operate various hand and power tools.
* Ability to obtain within six months of hire Utah Commercial Driver License, Class A.
Drainage Maintenance Worker II:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent. Twelve (12) months experience in storm water system maintenance. Six (6) months experience as Drainage Maintenance Worker I may be substituted for the required experience.
* Proven ability to use hand and power tools related to the maintenance and repair of drainage systems. Must be able to perform heavy labor and respond to emergencies.
* Possession of a valid Utah Commercial Driver's License, Class A.

* Moderately heavy physical activity. Required to stand, walk or sit uncomfortably for extended periods; push, pull or lift medium-heavy weights. The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Maintenance IV - Parks, who will specialize in overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of all irrigation systems within the City's parks and open spaces. This is a full-time position with the Saratoga Springs Public Works Department of approximately 40 hours per week.
Under the direction of the Parks Superintendent, this position is responsible for managing and maintaining the City's WeatherTRAK Central Irrigation Control System, ensuring efficient water management across all City landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in irrigation systems, with the ability to diagnose issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and oversee installation of new systems. The ability to lead and train other staff members in irrigation repairs, and other technical maintenance items.
This position plays a key role in optimizing water usage, maintaining healthy landscapes, and supporting the City's sustainability goals. The Maintenance IV - Parks Irrigation Technician also serves as one of the City's principal "on-call" employees for after-hours emergencies related to irrigation and snow removal operations.
Additionally, this position acts as a first-line supervisor for assigned Seasonal Maintenance - Parks employees, providing guidance, training, and coordination related to irrigation system operations and landscape maintenance.

Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator will oversee facilities & maintenance, along with assisting with fleet management for the Youth Resource Center. Ensure the cleanliness of the interior of the building and the grounds, safety, and functionality of the facility and of all vehicles. Supervise the completion of contracted maintenance services.
Essential Duties
* Oversee facility maintenance and cleanliness needs. This includes twice a day (early morning hours and mid to late afternoon) picking up trash on the property grounds and entryway. Follow a checklist related to this duty.
* Work with current contracted janitorial services.
* Oversee vehicle maintenance, ensuring cleanliness and operability. Check for current registration decals and up-to-date insurance cards in the vehicles.
* Order facility supplies and maintain an inventory of supplies.
* Perform minor maintenance repairs (plunging toilets, replacing lights, fixing sprinkler heads, minor painting) and assist with janitorial duties as needed in between scheduled cleaning by the contracted cleaners.
* Provide timely communication to leadership on operations and facility issues. Assess and recommend priorities for improving facilities operations and execute in a manner that ensures continuity of service.
* Possess knowledge of the Safety and Security Plans at the Youth Resource Center, including fire and other required drills and inspections.
* Schedule and conduct routine fire drills and inspections.
* Attend work as scheduled and arrive at the designated time.
* Work will be performed on-site.
Secondary Duties
* Maintain positive interactions and professional boundaries with Youth Resource Center clients.
* Maintain positive collaboration and professional interactions with other VOA employees, community partners, and vendors.
* Participate in various meetings and trainings as requested, including the monthly Facilities Coordinators' meetings.
* Perform other functions as necessary or assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

\tPaint interiors and exteriors when needed.
\tElectrical: HVAC - Understands electrical systems and HVAC systems. Troubleshooting, service, and repair of pumps, condensers, motors, lighting and 3 phase electrical panels and circuits
\tPlumbing: Install faucets, seats, drain seals. Remove/install toilets, auto flushers. Troubleshoot drainage problems, water leaks, lack of water and effect repairs.
\tCarpentry: Understand woodworking and carpentry. Work on cabinetry, counters, walls, stairs and doors.
\tDrywall repair and painting.
\tUtilize work order system to log maintenance activities including accurately documenting work performed on service requests, including parts.
\tFollow-up on completed service requests to ensure satisfaction.
\tAssist in and conduct the daily operations and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance requirements of buildings.
\tDevelop/maintain effective building specific maintenance procedures.
\tCoordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians.
\tPerform preventive maintenance duties according to manufactures specifications and company policies. Recommend improvements for the preventive maintenance program on an on-going basis.
\tPromote good public relations with tenants, co-workers, and company staff through being honest, displaying integrity in all situations, and going above and beyond to make sure tenants are satisfied. Always display a friendly and courteous attitude towards tenants and other employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:
