Services assist in supporting the mental health needs of children and their families, allowing safe and appropriate care, and promoting coordination and collaboration in care planning efforts with the Children and Family Team (CFT) and other child-serving agencies.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Listen to and assess the parents' needs and provide relevant interventions, resources and support.
Serve as support person and advocate for parents during Children and Family Team meetings.
Ensure sensitivity to family culture, values and beliefs, and operate from a family- centered, strength-based perspective.
Maintain proficient and accurate documentation adhering to all program and contract standards.
Work in coordination with the client's multidisciplinary team, including county representatives, schools etc. in the development and execution of the treatment plan. Participate in all required meetings.

Commitment & Service Term: AmeriCorps members serve full-time, in-person, from January 2026 to June 2026, committing to a service term of 900+ hours. All AmeriCorps positions serve Monday through Friday, with schedules generally running from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, averaging 8 hours per day. AmeriCorps members understand that this is a service opportunity, not a job, and you are committed to completing your full term of service.
Training & Professional Development: All members receive intensive training at the start of service, as well as ongoing training and professional development throughout the term. Training may be conducted at a Reading Partners office or at school/partner sites across the region.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
School Aged Treatment Program (SATS) is designed to support children and youth with a mental health disorder that interferes with their academic performance or functioning in their family, school, or community. SATS serves children and youth ages 0-21. Program referrals typically come from schools, social workers, DBH, self-referrals, etc. Services typically include therapy, case management, rehabilitation services, groups, etc. and are provided in the field (home, school, community) and by telehealth.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Listen to and assess the parents' needs and provide relevant interventions, resources and support.
Serve as support person and advocate for parents during Children and Family Team meetings.
Ensure sensitivity to family culture, values and beliefs, and operate from a family- centered, strength-based perspective.
Maintain proficient and accurate documentation adhering to all program and contract standards.
Work in coordination with the client's multidisciplinary team, including county representatives, schools etc. in the development and execution of the treatment plan. Participate in all required meetings.
Develop and utilize knowledge of community resources to serve children and their families.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

Tasks Performed:
1. Litigation Defense & Risk Management for School Districts:
+ Defend school districts in employment-related lawsuits, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims involving teachers, staff, and administrators.

Commitment & Service Term: AmeriCorps members serve full-time, in-person, from January 2026 to June 2026, committing to a service term of 900+ hours. All AmeriCorps positions are Monday through Friday, with schedules generally running from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, averaging 8 hours per day. AmeriCorps members understand that this is a service opportunity, not a job, and you are committed to completing your full term of service.
Training & Professional Development: All members receive intensive training at the start of service, as well as ongoing training and professional development throughout the term. Training may be conducted at a Reading Partners office or at school/partner sites across the region.

The Principal Perfusionist works effectively under the supervision of the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Director of Cardiac Perfusion Services. You will report directly to the Director and are expected to work independently. You will be responsible for the overall operation of the department during the absence of the Director.
Under the order of the attending physician, the Principal Perfusionist provides routine and specialized patient care services requiring extracorporeal circulation and/or oxygenation. The Principal Perfusionist provides advanced perfusion techniques for myocardial and/or organ protection and preservation, blood component and drug/fluid administration and blood conservation/concentration. You will provide Principle Perfusion coverage for the West Valley UCLA Health System for primary clinical coverage. The West Valley Principle Perfusionist will maintain the protocols, equipment, and inventory at West Valley UCLA Health, working in collaboration with Infection prevention, regulatory team for JACHO and DPH compliance, POCT and Operative service to provide cardiac support. The West Valley Principal Perfusionist will also provide coverage at Ronald Reagan UCLA Westwood based on operational needs.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
+ BA/BS degree and 4 yrs in adult clinical management.
+ CCP certification.
+ CRP Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
+ Knowledge, skill, and ability to operate all routine equipment, devices, and monitors.
+ Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. Advanced knowledge of blood flow throughout the body, of pressures and gas exchange within the body of adult, pediatric, and infant patients.
+ Knowledge of several cardiac diseases, defects, and congenital anomalies. Knowledge of a variety of organ preservations.
+ Knowledge of sterile and perfusion supplies: extracorporeal oxygenators, tubing circuits, and cannulae for adult, pediatric, infants
+ Knowledge of blood components, plasma composition, body fluids, and medication administration and interaction extracorporeal devices.
+ Ability to follow orders, take directions, and implement written perfusion protocols utilizing formula and applied mathematics.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively during operation of extracorporeal support devices and providing patient care.
+ Ability to write clearly and neatly while recording patient data and performing other clinical and other tasks.
+ Ability to organize and prioritize patient care needs while performing several tasks at once in a clinical setting.
+ Ability to learn and apply JACHO, CDC, and AABB standards and protocols that apply to operating procedures and departmental policies and protocols. Knowledge of sterile techniques in the delivery of patient cares.
+ Knowledge of medical and perfusion terminology. Ability to converse freely utilizing this terminology.
