ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Welcome patrons and assist them as needed. * Monitor all facilities such as but not limited to exits, windows, doors, offices, gyms, pool, penthouse, filter room, boiler room, etc. * Off hour monitoring of outdoor areas, including parking lots and fields. * Monitor students and ensure safe and appropriate behavior. * Observe and monitor internal and external traffic. * Manage problematic issues with diplomacy. * Assist those utilizing facilities. * Contact Maintenance when problems arise. * During winter months monitor conditions of drives, lots and walks, and report any snow/ice concerns to grounds person on call. * Report incidents to police and/or supervisors when necessary. * Deters inappropriate student behavior through high visibility in student areas and the development of positive student interactions. * Refers students who violate school rules to the Deans' Office. * Performs other duties which may from time to time be assigned. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. Other responsibilities include: preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions.
