What You'll Do * Work in various roles within operations team to learn equipment, processes and procedures from start to finish. * Improvement projects from design through installation and start-up. * Develops Mechanical engineering design and modification of industrial process equipment, fluid power systems, lubrication systems, and circulating water systems * Provides engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other required technical documentation * Provides engineering technical support as required to enable the operation to produce a quality product within budget that meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports the business strategies and goals of the mill division, CMCA and CMC * Performs constructability reviews and improvement analysis * Reviews drawings and performs field inspections * Provides equipment specifications and bid reviews * Serves as Project Manager of multi-discipline projects * Estimates and schedules for multidisciplinary projects * Oversees project construction activities and coordinates project implementation activities with plant operating departments * Implements mechanical design and coordination work as required * Willing to learn; enjoys tackling new challenges * Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a ""get it right the first time"" mindset * Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs * Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner * Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely * Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations * Ability to stand and sit for duration of shift, for a minimum of 8 hours What You'll Need * Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint required. CONTROLS ENGINEER (7pm-4am) TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA As a member of the Engineering team, the Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing program changes to reduce machine downtime and improve system efficiency. The Controls Engineer will be challenged to maintain multiple machinery systems in a JIT / complex assembly plant environment. In this role, you support department and plant goals as established, participate in continuous improvement activities and the high performing work team model. The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: * Developing and implementing software and hardware changes to improve efficiency and quality. * Troubleshooting and programming of PLCs to resolve problems, improve efficiency and quality. * Contact and coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers. * Work with other departments to ensure optimal performance of production line. * Maintaining accurate records of part specific parameters and changes; including requisition tools, equipment, and supplies. * Setting up and maintaining adequate parts and supplies to minimize production downtime. * Maintaining accurate records of machines and other assets with regards to repair, drawings, diagrams and manuals and preventive maintenance program. * Assist in launch programs as necessary, proper housekeeping of area, and following ISO 14001 & IATF16949 procedures and processes.
