JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineer coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Develop detailed layout drawings and specifications for electrical equipment using computer-assisted drafting (AutoCAD) software. Electrical control drawings for shop fabrication and automation. Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting electrical designs. Modify and revise designs to correct errors or to reduce production problems. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to design. Good communication skills, work well with a team. Knowledge of Microsoft Office MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program. At least 2-5 years of experience in the field of electrical schematic layout & design. Familiarity with relay logic, VFD's and automation is a plus. Must have 2 years of AutoCAD experience with electrical circuit design. Ability to detail shop production drawings in AutoCAD Familiarity with Electrical codes and practices. Must be comfortable working in a fabrication/ Industrial setting. Ability to work and effectively communicate with Engineer and shop associates.
