Review the quality and completeness of electrical PM execution at plant location. Support operations in the field for major maintenance, upgrades, new plant checkout and commissioning. Perform full loop checks and functional testing of equipment in test position, prior to plant startup. Provide support during plant restart. Provide electrical equipment scope, proposal estimates, technical documents and execution support to the Project Execution team for large capital improvements projects and re-life projects. Supervise and assess the technical competency of electrical contractors and service providers to ensure proper scope is assigned and the expected quality is received. Responsible for understanding, applying and training NFPA 70E to plant personnel as well as reviewing contractor electrical safety practices. Perform general electrical training at site locations. Required Skills: Demonstrated exceptional operational safety leadership. Proven experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of low/medium/high voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, motors, distribution systems and associated protection and support equipment. Proven experience in electrical short circuit analysis, relay protection settings and coordination, power quality analysis, high voltage motor starting schemes and analysis, hazardous area classification and lightning protection. Electronics Engineer - Contract DISHER is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer for our customer in Portage, MI. Travel to supplier (estimating 3 to 5 times over the 6-month project duration) would be periodically necessary to support this project. Documentation of process development and validations will be needed to complete full integration of designed components to bridge in Verification and Validation activities (process development, process validation, production documentation) Review of prior project learnings and outputs PCB schematics and documentation input Electronics and assembly of prototypes Lead manufacturing support during spins with supplier Process development for the boards Detailed electrical documentation Work closely with internal and contract manufacturers to develop processes for electro-mechanical assembly including PCBA manufacturing, potting, soldering, pressing, plastic injection molding, torquing and manual assembly Lead or support capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation, and validation Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications Select equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements Work with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis Lead and/or participate in process review meetings. Participate in Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plan, SOP and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) generation associated with launches Complete capability studies for in-process inspection and generate subsequent Inspection documentation Review and approval of validation documentation What will make you successful: PCBA / DEMF / Testing experience. Responsibilities: Develop tools and documents to troubleshoot problems quickly. Engineer control hardware / software upgrades necessary to improve operating efficiency of equipment. Examines and understands specifications in order to ensure the functionality of the equipment meets these specifications. Modification of process equipment control system to ensure maximum production output while minimizing down-time: this includes modifications to improve plant-wide costs and efficiencies. Ensures the equipment being started up and commissioned operates in accordance with company requirements. Programs robotic and/or controls equipment per company specifications. Performs preventative maintenance as requested by the customer to ensure minimum down-time and optimum operation of machines and equipment. Train maintenance technicians in equipment operation and troubleshooting. Maintain specification standards for new and existing process equipment control systems. Repair and troubleshoot new and existing process equipment control systems. General machine safety, electrical safety and machine guarding: high level of safety awareness (OSHA, NEC and RIA). Ability to interact professionally, and maintain a positive working relationship, which at times may be under difficult circumstances and/or high-pressure situations. Ability to obtain Lock Out Tag Out Certification. Qualification: Extensive experience programming Allen Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens PLC/HMI software. Industrial Networks Knowledge. (Ethernet I/P, Device Net, Profibus, ControlNet.) Auto CAD Electrical experience developing schematics, panel layout, and bill of materials. Extensive experience with VFD and Servo drive systems. Thorough knowledge of power distribution as it applies to machine controls. Knowledgeable in the design and application of fluid power controls. (hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum). Thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical control devices. (optical, inductive, capacitive sensors / contactors, relays, switches / power supplies and transformers / motors and motor starters.) Knowledge of Common Machine Guarding Devices. (Bumper Strips, Light Curtains, Area Scanners, etc.) Experience with vision systems. Read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and prints Provide support as needed to various manufacturing facilities. Experience conducting risk assessment of equipment to determine compliance to code. (OSHA, NFPA, RIA) Strong Knowledge of electrical safety and machine guarding.
