Uni-Systems Engineering is looking for a motivated individual that is interested in working in an atypical Structural Engineering position using engineering principles and applying them to custom operable systems. This individual will have the opportunity to design world-renowned structures that are highly visible to the public while frequently working from concept level all the way through installation. Engineering level and responsibilities will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
The person in this role needs to be comfortable owning their designs, be willing to take risks, utilize engineering principles, building codes & client codes, and implement prototype testing when necessary to create functional, safe, and economic designs. They will provide effective engineering leadership, input, and structural design support on a project basis. They will contribute to multiple aspects of projects including design, documentation, purchasing, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of mechanized structural systems.
This individual will provide work direction, technical expertise, and effective communication to the project team while simultaneously evaluating and vetting ideas from other disciplines and high competency teammates. They will utilize strong analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges and outcome-oriented self-direction to achieve ambitious project goals. There are no step-by-step codes or guidelines to follow in many cases and reliance on engineering judgment will be required.

Job Purpose:
Performs and leads: the evaluation of the electric transmission system for reliability; development of OUC's Capital Plan; compliance with relevant NERC standards; administration of the OUC Open Access Transmission Tariff; support of the Energy Control Center Transmission Operator (TOP) and Balancing Authority (BA) responsibilities; managing the EMS system state estimator and real time contingency analysis system. Leads related projects/programs, analyzes systems for improvement/enhancement, and stays current on industry trends.
Primary Functions:
Lead studies evaluating the reliability of the transmission systems in real time, operational and long term horizons; from those studies create compliance documentation, reports, presentations, and recommendations;
Determine the various factors (i.e., load growth, technology changes, standards changes, etc.) that impact the OUC system and develop a plan for proactive system improvements (OUC Capital Plan);
Support OUC's Transmission Operator and Balancing Authority functions through coaching the operators on performing studies, developing operating plans, developing procedures, and responding to real time needs;
Develop and maintain Energy Management System (EMS) state estimator and real time contingency analysis systems;
Develop and maintain Open Access Technology International (OATI) products at OUC, as needed (OASIS, Webtrans, etc.);

o Power Supply design to support analog & digital circuitry and experience with low noise & moderate bandwidth PCB layout & implementation
o Experience with single and multi-element optical detectors (i.e. Photodiodes, CMOS detectors, and CCD's) and their readout circuits is a plus
o Experience with Camera vision systems is a major plus
o Familiarity with optical sources (lamps, lasers, LEDs, etc.) and their drive circuits a plus
· Digital Design
o Detailed knowledge on digital MEMS sensors such as IMU, INU, Temp, pressure, humidity sensors.
o Design products that will use industry standard data interfaces such as: USB 3.x, 2.0, Bluetooth (including BLE), WiFi, Ethernet (100/1000BASE-T), RS-232/485, I2C and SPI.
o Design experience in motion control of DC brushed/brushless/ and stepper motors is a plus
o Experience in ARM PCB layout and design is a plus
o Experience in High speed Board layout is a plus
o Embedded programming experience in up to 32 bit microcontrollers, Freescale processors knowledge is a plus
o Competency creating test code in micro-controller/DSP firmware in C/C++
o FPGA design, simulation, synthesis & implementation in VHDL is a plus
o Interfacing FPGA to standard peripherals and microcontrollers is a plus
· Analog Design
o Analog Front End devices for input signal processing, low noise analog signal processing devices

Job Description
We are looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of ‘Project Engineer' for our Titusville, FL facility. The Project Engineer role is a full-time position and will be an integral team member supporting various Program engineering activities by providing project management support. This individual will direct, coordinate, and functionally head planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects of assigned responsibility. They will plan and formulate engineering efforts and organize project staff according to project/ program requirements. Job Responsibilities
· Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
· Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
· Directs integration of technical activities and products.
· Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
· Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
· Prepares interim and completion project reports.
· May have responsibility for technical direction of other lower-level project engineers or field engineers.
· Implements government and commercial programs through a risk and oversight approach for all phases of project/program activities; identifies risks and problems, proposes solutions, and provides timely and accurate contract deliverables.
· Responsible for the cost, schedule performance of assigned projects/programs.
· Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
· Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
· Acts as one of the primary customer contacts for program activities, leading review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
· Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
· Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Required Qualifications
· Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, other technical discipline or relevant work experience
· 5+ years of relevant experience in Project Engineering/Management at an Engineering firm or as a Government Contractor
· Experience managing and coordinating a team of administrators, engineers, and technicians
· Project Management experience for a highly technical product OEM company
· Experience with Radar/Sensor or other highly technical systems
· Proven communication and presentation skills
· Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, to include PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Word
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
· Ability to obtain & maintain a secret level clearance

Clearance Qualifications
