Seniors Helping Seniors in -home care services offer companionship for seniors who wish to remain active and independent from the comfort of their home. We're searching for mature and compassionate individuals to add to our team of personal caregivers. Each personal caregiver will have the option to decide which duties, as listed below, are best fitted to their experience and/or personal preference when assisting our seniors. Our team believes that seniors can help each other age with dignity, grace, and respect. One of the most important aspects of our services is providing companionship to those we serve. To do so, we commit to pairing personal caregivers with care receivers who share similar interests and backgrounds. This ensures a mutually beneficial relationship that helps to encourage a deep and meaningful connection. Seniors Helping Seniors personal caregivers also help with daily tasks like light house cleaning, yard work, medication reminders, and transportation to and from appointments or social events. Additionally, we offer respite care and 24/7 support for those with more advanced needs, as well as specialized assistance for individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia. We don't require our senior caregivers to be of a certain age or possess a particular level of experience, just a passion for helping seniors in the community continue to live independently. Requirements Qualifications: Enjoy working with our senior population Be caring, empathetic, compassionate and reliable Have a positive attitude and be dedicated to our SHS mission Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan High School Diploma or equivalent Responsibilities: Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by SHS Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been complete Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include: Provide Companionship Light House Keeping Shopping and Errands Meal Preparation Medication Reminders Pet Care Light Yard Work Overnight Supervision Incidental Transportation to doctor's appointments, family or other Personal Care Duties may include: Assist with Dressing Assist with Feeding Assist with Showering / Bathing Mobility Assistance Assist with Toileting / Incontinence Memory Care Working Conditions: The role may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Work is primarily conducted in clients' homes. Some light physical effort may be required, including assisting with mobility and transferring clients.
