Key Responsibilities:
Maintains designation required to operate as a law enforcement officer pursuant to the authority given the Board of Governors by Section 11 (q) of the Federal Reserve Act and the Uniform Regulations for Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers. Meets minimum requirements of all department standards and training requirements
Develops, demonstrates and maintains proficiency in all aspects of key responsibilities such as: operating policies, weapons (lethal and non-lethal), physical security equipment, first aid and CPR, firefighting techniques, civil disorders, and public relations. Must exhibit spontaneous sound/reasonable judgment over life safety issues, the discrete handling of detected weapons and/or explosive devices and the proper handling of sensitive information and incidents.
Performs security and safety related duties. Patrols building/grounds and reports unusual situations or unauthorized individuals, responds to alarm conditions and provides emergency services. Monitors surveillance equipment, intercoms, telephones, radios, and other specialized equipment. Monitors Bank departments for safety or security violations and reports findings to department management. Prepares appropriate shift reports, incidents reports and other required paperwork as necessary.
Controls pedestrian and vehicle access to the facility through use of screening equipment to detect unauthorized items prior to entry to Bank property. Inspects vehicles entering security sensitive areas for unauthorized personnel or contents. Monitors and authorizes visitors accessing Bank facilities and records visitor data on appropriate logs.
On an as needed basis may conduct initial investigations into accidents and incidents, make proper notifications, and performs follow up duties as directed by supervisor. Could be needed to testify in court in response to a subpoena regarding accidents or incidents.
Develops proficiency in use of personal computer (PC) and related software necessary to perform job functions.
On an as needed basis may participate in special assignments to protect dignitaries of a Reserve Bank or the Board of Governors, this could include escorting visitors, contractors and/or vendors working in high security areas.

Position Specific Accountabilities
1. Under the immediate supervision of a Shift Supervisor and/or Watch Commander, the Patrol Officer will spend the majority of the time in the field on uniformed patrol or assigned post in pursuit of the successful completion of building security checks, foot/vehicle patrols, incident response, and report writing.
2. Respond to calls for assistance, emergency situations, incidents in-progress and calls for service.
3. Respond to activated alarms for emergency situations such as fire, chemical spills, medical emergencies, burglaries, and door security concerns. Immediately reports emergency situations to DPS communications officer and DPS Watch Commander on duty.
4. Generate reports of daily activity, including any irregularities of equipment, property damage or any incidents reported to the DPS University Hall office.
5. Generate incident reports.
6. Circulate among visitors, students and employees to preserve order and protect property. Warns persons of LMU rule infractions.
7. Provide excellent customer service in accordance with LMU established standards and expectations. Provides escort or access service according to policy for occupants if requested.
8. Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, failed equipment operation and any safety hazards. Patrols to secure doors, gates and windows during off-hours.
9. Must be able to report for work or work past scheduled shift, to work overtime on short or no notice, to work all shifts, to work rotating shifts, and to work weekends, holidays, closures, special events, and designated days/peak periods.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervises male or female inmates commensurate with the level of risk they present. Manages inmate housing areas, enforces rules and sanitation standards. Transports inmates using approved restraints and observing relevant laws, policies and procedures. Conducts accurate head counts, maintains custody and control over inmates at appointments outside the secured perimeter and escorts inmates within the secured perimeter. Inventories personal property of inmates and issues receipts.
Performs crisis intervention functions to include, but not limited to, subduing or restraining violent or uncooperative inmates, defending persons against attack, and preventing escapes, using approved deadly or non-deadly force, restraints or other approved methods. Required to wear body armor and use weapons.
Maintains facility security. This includes performing searches of inmates and other persons. This includes the visual inspection of body cavities and possible exposure to body fluids. Responsible for checking inmate mail and/or packages for contraband. Observes inmate behavior to identify inmates exhibiting mental or emotional disorders. Uses counseling techniques or referral action, as outlined in written policies or guidelines. Conducts inspections and visual and audio surveillance of persons, property, vehicles, building and outdoor areas. What You'll Do:
We are hiring skilled and dedicated Public Safety Officer to provide a safe environment and responsible for delivering excellent service while ensuring the safety of our residents, guests, visitors, employees, and company assets. This will be achieved through established procedures and practices, including performing stationary post duties, conducting mobile patrols, responding to service calls, escorting individuals, conducting investigations, and writing reports.
Obtain and offer proper briefing at post-shift change as well as the documented exchange
Be familiar with company and departmental policies, procedures, and local, state, and federal laws
Respond to all accidents, including medical, fire, and criminal incidents.
Diligently patrol all assigned areas.
Be familiar with general safety and security policies and Rules & Regulations.
Maintain familiarity with key locations such as residencies, club facilities, Fire Rescue, and key personnel, locations of AEDs, alarms panels, and Ferry landings.
Observe and accurately document all activities performed during the shift including but not limited to: accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, damaged or broken equipment, escorts, and transports.
Provide the highest level of customer service to all encountered.
Prevent the access of unauthorized persons onto Fisher Island
Arrive to work area in full compliance of uniform standards and grooming policies.
Safely use and maintain any equipment routinely used in the performance of duties.
Report to your supervisor any conditions you may have which would hinder the effective operation of a post or assignment. (i.e. fatigue, illness, injury, etc.)

Requirements:
High School Diploma
Two years' experience preferred in Security or similar field
Excellent communication and judgment skills
Ability to speak, read and write English
Have knowledge of all applicable State and Federal laws.
Able to work any shift, including flexible schedules, nights, weekends & holidays.)

Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
Exercise key control, process lost and found items
Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of property
Conduct Fire Watch when needed
Promote safe work practices to include life safety inspections
Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed
Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
