Responsibilities: Provide a high level of customer service and promote a fine dining atmosphere. Work closely with the Executive Chef and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs. Make and manage the seating charts with sections for the servers. Review daily menus and specials with residents. Takes and delivers accurate meal orders to residents and guests. Help remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed. Assist in resetting the dining room. Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices. Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals. When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options. Ensure servers have completed their side duties before letting them go. Ensure the next day's menus are printed and ready. Create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among all staff. Attending Pre-Meal stand up held for all dining and kitchen staff. The Server provides table service to restaurant patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience. Distributes menus and presents the daily specials. Answers questions regarding the menu. Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen. Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers. Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen. Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals. Prepares customers' checks and collects payments. Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately. Ability to operate point-of-sale systems. Education and Experience: Highschool diploma or GED. Previous experience as a server preferred. Must successfully complete restaurant training course. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
