QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 15 years of age. CPR for the Professional Rescuer; AED; Basic First Aid Certifications preferred; required within 30 days of hire. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Required, certification provided by KMYMCA. Strong communication skills. CERTIFICATIONS: 1. Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year 2. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification every two years PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move quickly in emergency situations, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights. Required to remain alert and vigilant while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time. Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Ability to tolerate a fast paced, loud, and humid environment. PURPOSE The Intern role is responsible for learning and applying their technical skills and working as part of a team carrying out tasks under close coaching and supervision.
