Technical Trainer - Field Services (Transformers)
Location: Roanoke, VA (Relocation Required)

Reports To: Field Services Leadership
Position Summary
The Technical Trainer - Field Services (Transformers) is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs focused on power and distribution transformers for field service technicians and internal teams. This role serves as a subject-matter expert in transformer theory, construction, testing, troubleshooting, and field best practices, ensuring technicians are prepared to safely and effectively support customers in the field.
This position is ideal for a seasoned transformer professional with deep hands-on experience who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and elevating technical capability across a growing field services organization.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training & Instruction
Develop and deliver classroom, hands-on, and field-based training for field service technicians covering installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Create, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, including presentations, manuals, procedures, and job aids.
Lead training sessions for:
New hire field service technicians
Experienced technicians advancing skill levels
Cross-functional teams as required
Transformer Expertise & Field Support
Serve as a technical authority on transformer theory, construction, and field performance.
Train technicians on:
Transformer construction, components, and design fundamentals
Insulation systems, cooling methods, and tap changers
Field testing (ratio, winding resistance, insulation, oil testing, etc.)
Troubleshooting common and complex transformer issues
Provide technical guidance to field teams during complex service events, outages, or investigations as needed.
Standards, Safety & Best Practices
Ensure all training aligns with applicable IEEE, ANSI, IEC, and internal safety standards.
Reinforce safe work practices and regulatory compliance throughout all training activities.
Update training content to reflect changes in standards, procedures, products, and field learnings.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Transfer
Capture field feedback, lessons learned, and recurring issues to continuously enhance training programs.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Field Services leadership to align training with product changes and field performance trends.
Support technician certification efforts, skills assessments, and competency tracking.
Required Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience with power and/or distribution transformers in field service, manufacturing, testing, or commissioning environments.
Strong working knowledge of transformer testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to teach, mentor, and communicate technical concepts to technicians with varying experience levels.
Willingness to relocate to Roanoke, VA.
Willingness to travel occasionally to support field training or onsite sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience as a Technical Trainer, Field Services Lead, Senior Field Technician, or Transformer Test Engineer.
Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, and IEC transformer standards.
Experience developing training programs or technical documentation.

Who We Are
Mission Technologies, as division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Training Rep 3 to join our Integrated Product Support Department! This position is for the Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) which is a process for refueling and upgrading nuclear-powered aircraft carriers in the US Navy. During such operations Aircraft Carriers receive modern upgrades to various propulsion systems. With those updates training support is required to ensure the crew is ready to return to service. This position requires a skilled trainer to develop and deliver training curricula for Reactor, Engineering, Navigation, Combat, Air and Auxiliary Systems on the following propulsion systems.

+ Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel.
+ Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
+ Screen Fleet Moderation Requests for Impact on training being developed and new training opportunities.
+ Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
+ Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
+ May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.

What You Must Have
+ 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
+ Candidate must have previously held the Naval Enlisted Classification Code (NEC) 339X or 336X, indicating experience in Navy Nuclear Propulsion Supervision.
+ Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel.
+ Candidate must be capable of providing training to various sized military and civilian personnel in a classroom.
+ Candidate must be able to obtain a CONFIDENTIAL Security Clearance.

POSTITION OVERVIEW
The Technical Training Specialist balances time between training new and current employees on equipment and preparing them for work in the field. The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for creating and presenting training materials to both internal and external customers as determined by business needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with department manager to develop new training materials as needed to best serve customer needs and changes in product lines. Focus areas may include PPS Solar Academy, PPS preventative maintenance and fault analysis, and PPS first-level diagnostics and repair.
Serves as the principal trainer during training events, with support from other departments as needed.
Assists with scheduling of all company-sponsored training events, including in-house, regional, customer site, and special training events.
Distributes and collects customer feedback surveys, and utilizes feedback to suggest improvements to future training materials and events.
Reviews company policies regarding training events and makes recommendations to the
management team when new policies, or changes to existing policies are needed.
Examines existing training modalities and assists in the development of new modalities that could improve the effectiveness of the training function.
Other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A bachelor's degree in relevant area (electrical engineering, business, or education) is required or combination of relevant education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a training role is required.
Experience in electronics or a related technical field is preferred.
This position requires some (10-20%) overnight travel

Camp Mendocino is a residential summer camp located in Northern California, four hours north of San Francisco and spread over 2,000 acres. Position Purpose
A Youth DevelopmentSpecialist (Camp Counselor) works closely with a small team to supervise a group of up to 40 youth. Ensures a fun, safe, and positive camp experience for campers. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for participation of small groups of youth in assigned activities
Ensure youth engage in appropriately in all Camp activities
Provide emotional support and guidance to campers

Foster growth in the areas of: life skills, self care, and interpersonal skills

Supervise youth at all times including overnight in a cabin with approximately 5 campers

Lead & plan traditional Camp activities, including but not limited to: arts & crafts, archery, hiking, environmental education, and sports.

Depending on the need and requirement of the position, an individual could be hired at or near the entry level, mid - level or top of the range for their role and compensation. As such, a reasonable estimate for this temporary summer position from June 12 - August 6, 2026, is $4,195.00.

About the Role:
The Associate, Corporate Development and M&A will play a critical role in supporting Crusoe's inorganic growth strategy across its core sectors: Power, Industrial Process and Manufacturing, Real Estate and Software. This highly visible position will be deeply involved in all phases of mergers & acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, and structuring strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is a high-performing professional with robust financial expertise and transaction experience. The role will report directly to the SVP of Strategic Finance and Corporate Development.
This role will be required to be based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.
What You'll Be Working On:
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Divestitures
Market Mapping and Origination: candidate will work across the organization's business units and functions in order to identify acquisition targets from a sector-first perspective. This includes creating and maintaining market maps, thematic research projects and direct outreach to targets.
Transaction Execution: Support the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, strategic rationale development, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and closing.
Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models (Valuation and merger model, Accretion/Dilution analyses, and precedent transaction analyses) to evaluate potential acquisition
Due Diligence: Coordinate and manage cross-functional due diligence teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, etc.), synthesizing key findings and developing risk mitigation strategies. Work closely with third-party providers.
Market Analysis: Conduct industry and competitive landscape analysis within the Industrials, Energy, and Real Estate sectors to identify strategic market gaps and attractive investment opportunities.
Prepare and present on transaction rationale to Executive Leadership team (possibly the Board of Directors)
Strategic Investments & Partnerships
Sourcing and Evaluation: Evaluate strategic investment and partnership opportunities that align with the company's long-term growth objectives.
Deal Structuring: Assist in the structuring and negotiation of terms for joint ventures, strategic alliances, and minority investments.
Business Case Development: Create compelling investment memorandums and presentations for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors, outlining strategic fit, financial implications, and execution plans.
General Corporate Development
Pipeline Management: Help manage and maintain a robust pipeline of potential M&A and investment targets.
Commercial-facing Activities: attend conferences and travel to various industry events in order to aid in origination and market intelligence
Reporting: Prepare detailed analytical reports and presentations on key market trends, portfolio performance, and deal progress for internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal business unit leaders to assess strategic needs and integration plans.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
2-5+ years of experience in Investment Banking (Analyst or Associate level), Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory Services.
Direct experience working on M&A transactions taking a core role in structuring and modeling various scenarios and preparing transaction screening memos
Strong coverage experience or deep sector knowledge within Industrials, Energy, and/or Real Estate is highly preferred.
Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, with an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex financial and strategic analysis into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior executives and external partners.
High degree of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.

About This Role:
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the Associate, Commercial Energy Development, you will play a pivotal role in this mission by supporting the development of a robust pipeline of GW-scale energy and infrastructure projects to support next generation compute campuses, including partner engagement, preliminary due diligence, deal execution support, market analysis, and executive reporting in our Energy Development Group. In other words, you'll be a key player enabling infrastructure to support high-performance computing and AI workloads, helping Crusoe pioneer reliable, energy-first compute at scale.
You will work on projects across North America, focusing on delivering industry leading time-to-market and scale and creative energy solutions. While delivering robust power systems, you will focus on leveraging the industry's energy demand to catalyze low-carbon baseload power. Including, but not limited to, solar, energy storage, hydro, nuclear, geothermal, and gas + CCS. This position directly impacts Crusoe's mission by identifying and advancing opportunities to execute on global-scale climate aligned data center infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, grow client relationships, support contract negotiation, support early stage development and drive regulatory compliance.
This role will be required to be in office 5 days per week in our San Francisco, CA, or Denver, CO, office.
What You'll Be Working On:
Pipeline development: Manage early stage opportunity sourcing and qualification, working closely with Commercial Leads and the Digital Infrastructure Group
Partner engagement: Conduct preliminary discussions with potential counterparties and partners to validate project details and fit with Crusoe criteria and objectives
Project due diligence: Drive vetting of early stage projects to identify key risks and mitigation pathways to create a recommendation to advance / kill projects

What You'll Bring to the Team:

The Role
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
This position will primarily be responsible for delivering welding school classroom training. Often this training requires facilitating practical exercises outside or in a shop environment.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of exempt experience; Master's degree and 1 year of exempt experience
