Position Summary
The MHAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma team that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. This role will be hired to support the potential US commercialization of our lead investigational product, which, if approved by the FDA, could be the first ever treatment to target muscarinic receptor circuits for schizophrenia. The Mental Health Account Specialist team will call on the providers and care team members specifically at Community Mental Health Centers and Certified Community Behavior Health Centers. You will be a critical member of the launch team. Geographies may cover multiple states as they will mirror our District footprints.
The primary role of the MHAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the MHAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue, consistent on-label discussions and leveraging effective avenues for partnering. CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The MHAS liaises with other BMS functions, including partner portfolio aligned Therapeutic Areas Specialists (TAS) to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) - by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
The MHAS role is field-based and is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field engaging solely with our customers in Community Mental Health Centers and Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers.

Program Overview:
Intercept , developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children.
This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family's home and community-Intercept is not an office-based program.
Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family's unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Family Intervention Specialist:
Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families
Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week, scheduled at the convenience of the families
Conducts on-going assessment of youth to determine their needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective
Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development to help enhance clinical skills
Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families in their homes and communities (additional travel may be required)
Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan
Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location)
Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR)
Performs other duties as assigned

They will be available to clients, family members, or community representatives to answer any questions regarding ATR services. They are responsible for ensuring clients receive the best possible services for the best possible outcomes. As a licensed clinician or associate, they will effectively provide evidence-based substance misuse treatment modalities to clients through individual, group and/or family counseling sessions and development of treatment plans while working with multi-disciplinary team to provide continuity of care to the client.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRMENTS:
Must have a valid Kentucky drivers license.
Participate in all necessary staff meetings.
Be proficient in all ATR rules, policies, and procedures.

Communicate effectively and be responsive to verbal and written correspondences.
Responsible for completion of all psychosocial assessments of potential intakes.
Meet with clients to evaluate substance misuse issues and possible co-occurring disorders and skills to deliver appropriate education and treatment services including crisis intervention and support services.
Complete assessments and assessment updates in the required time allotment and competent diagnosis of any SUD and mental health illness disorders and assist the client in developing personal goals for treatment including building skills for future employment.
Orient clients to the programs operation and procedures including intake/readmissions counseling and provide appropriate referrals for other services.
Maintain complete, comprehensive, and well-organized client records per ATR policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Evaluate clients stage of change, utilizing motivational interviewing to move them close to the next stage.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions.
Monitor, review, and sign all clinical notes in EHR system for completion, thoroughness, and timeliness on a daily basis.
Review case management notes and sign off on billing as needed.
Be available to clients to discuss their treatment plans or other clinical issues as they arise, at the same time, ensuring compliance.
All other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND/EDUCATION:
Masters degree in behavioral science field.
Valid professional license (CSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPCC, CADC, LCADC, OR LCADCA)
Prefer at least 1 year in a SUD residential setting.
Proficiency in both group and individual counseling
Ability to develop treatment plans with specific goals and objectives corresponding to each clients needs.
Work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate needed services for clients.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, and credentialing level.
