Outpatient Services
Outpatient therapists are responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing therapy for individuals and families. Services are offered to children, youth, and adults in both clinical and community-based settings.

Crisis Services
Crisis clinicians provide immediate assessment, stabilization, and short-term intervention to individuals in acute mental health or behavioral crises. These services are delivered in the community and/or facility-based settings, and clinicians coordinate aftercare resources.
Shift Options Available: 4:00 PM-12:00 AM and 12:00 AM-8:00 AM

The Anderson County Family Justice Center Victim Advocate provides trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy for individuals experiencing domestic violence. Operating in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, this role ensures survivors have immediate access to crisis intervention, safety planning, court advocacy, and supportive resources. The advocate also participates in the High-Risk Intervention Team (HRIT) to provide coordinated response for survivors at elevated risk. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and committed to survivor empowerment and justice.
Duties and Responsibilities
Advocacy & Direct Support
Provide confidential, trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy for individuals experiencing domestic violence at the Anderson County Family Justice Center.
Conduct safety planning, danger assessments, crisis intervention, resource linkage, and assistance with filing Orders of Protection.
Provide court advocacy as needed and support clients navigating the legal system.
Assist survivors with applications, referrals to housing, benefits, transportation, financial assistance, and other basic needs.
Ensure every survivor understands their rights, options, and supportive services available through YWCA and community partners.
Community Engagement & Outreach
Provide public education presentations and professional training to partners and community groups.
Participate in a minimum of two outreach events per month to raise awareness of domestic violence resources.
Represent YWCA Victim Services at community meetings, trainings, and collaborative initiatives.
Strengthen partnerships with community organizations, law enforcement, courts, and service providers.
Support agency-wide initiatives.
Assist in planning and participating in YWCA's annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign and community events.
High Risk Intervention Team (HRIT)
Actively participate in HRIT meetings and activities to provide advocacy and support for survivors at high risk of serious harm.
Collaborate with law enforcement, courts, and community partners to ensure safety and continuity of services for high-risk survivors.
Documentation, Compliance, and Data
Maintain accurate, organized and confidential case documentation in accordance with agency and grant requirements.
Collect and input accurate data into Empower for reporting and grant compliance (VOCA and other funding sources).
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, agency policies, and confidentiality standards (including VAWA and HIPAA).
Support monthly and quarterly and annual reporting by providing data, success stories, and outcome measures.
Assist in evaluating program effectiveness through outcome tracking and survivor feedback.
Team Collaboration & Professional Development
Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and multidisciplinary collaborations.
Participate in regular supervision and debriefings with the Director of Victim Services.
Mentor interns or newly hired advocates as assigned, modeling trauma-informed and professional best practices.
Engage in a minimum of professional development trainings related to domestic violence, trauma, cultural humility, crisis response, and leadership skills.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within Victim Services and across the agency.
Assist the Director of Victim Services with special projects and program development as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in SocialWork, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred.
Candidates with a high school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience or lived experience may be considered.
Experience providing trauma-informed advocacy and legal support for survivors of domestic violence.
Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, systemic barriers, and community resources.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

CONTACT Care Line is East Tennessee's first crisis hotline. Our 988 Crisis Program provides text and phone-based support for individuals experiencing emotional distress or suicidal crisis. Crisis Counselors are responsible for assessing suicide risk, offering compassionate support, ensuring timely documentation, and collaborating with visitors to create safety plans. In addition to responding on the front lines, counselors are expected to engage in follow-ups, maintain communication standards, and adhere to all clinical, legal, and operational guidelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Crisis Intervention and Support
Respond to 988 telephone interactions in Spanish in a timely, compassionate, and culturally sensitive manner
Assess and mitigate suicide risk using established protocols and safety planning procedures
Deliver emotional support utilizing active listening and de-escalation skills
Provide referrals to appropriate community resources as needed
Follow all clinical and operational protocols, including making outbound calls to high-risk visitors and conducting independent follow-ups
Initiate and conduct follow-up outreach based on visitor needs, program and services guidelines, and clinical judgment
Participate in and complete training for phone-based services in both Spanish and English; maintain readiness to support Spanish-speaking visitors at all times
Clinical Documentation and Communication
Accurately and thoroughly document all visitor interactions in accordance with organizational procedures
Complete documentation within 8 minutes per interaction, ensuring clinical details are clear, timely, and aligned with documentation standards
Engage in SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) consultations for escalated visitor cases and mandatory reporting (MR) conversations
Use Slack as the virtual home office, maintaining an active presence and responding promptly and professionally to al work-related messages within 3 minutes during scheduled shifts. This include shift-chat consults, DMs from staff and your supervisor during your shift. Social or update channels do not require a response within 3 minutes.
Participate in meetings and supervision sessions on Microsoft Teams and be prepared to join video calls professionally when requested during scheduled shifts or for pre-arranged meetings
Read and appropriately engage with all communications and updates from leadership, including the #updates and #paid-staff-topics channels on Slack
Attend monthly staff meetings and actively participate in team-wide discussions and initiatives
Mandatory Reporting and Compliance

JOB SUMMARY
Sexual Assault Victim Advocates are responsible for providing crisis intervention services after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Responds with the SANE to hospitals in 9 counties over the East Tennessee region to provide accompaniment to victims during the forensic exam and to complete intake documentation for victims to receive ongoing advocacy support.
Other duties may include accompaniment during law enforcement interviews; referral-related activities to link clients with needed services; providing information and problem solving to assist clients in making decisions; answers the 24/7 crisis line and provides crisis counseling.
Coordinates closely with the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) department, law enforcement, hospital personnel, and other agencies.
Completes all necessary documentation in accordance with funding guidelines and policy and procedures.
Travel is required; a valid driver's license and access to transportation is necessary for this position.
Shifts are available after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Typical shifts are from 5pm-8:30am all week and 8:30-5pm on the weekend or holidays.
A total of 39 shifts are available per week and are split among all PRN staff.
A minimum of 5 shifts per month is required to remain active with PRN status.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
