SUMMARY The Board Certified Behavior Analyst develops behavioral plans and provides behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic services to program participants. A. QUALIFICATIONS:

7. Completion of 40-hour Advocacy Core Training within 30 days of hire.
B. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to integrate well with existing Sexual Assault Assistance Program staff.
2. Ability to work effectively with medical personnel, law enforcement agencies, State Attorney's Office staff, and all other professionals who come into contact with victims of sexual assault and other violent crimes.
3. Ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality, listen well with effective communication skills, be empathetic and a good problem solver, and offer non-judgmental care.
4. Knowledge of medical process involving sexual assault exams and the legal process involving victims of sexual assault.
5. Ability to work independently at times as well as to take directions and follow office/program policy and speak to sexual assault victims in a sympathetic manner so that the victim will feel safe and not be frightened or discouraged from continuing discussion.
6. Knowledge of other community agencies which might provide services to victims of sexual assault.
C. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Dispatcher/Rape Crisis Counselor On-Call for 24-hour SAAP Helpline providing crisis intervention, information and referrals, advocacy and support for sexual assault survivors who call the confidential, anonymous helpline.
2. Must possess the ability to explain and assist with Crimes Compensation to victims of sexual assault.
3. Refer victims of sexual assault to any other appropriate agency which might meet their specific needs.
4. Provide Crisis Intervention, referrals and information to victims of sexual assault.
* Twenty-four (24)-hour on-call accompaniment to Law Enforcement, Hospital, and other places where sexual assault victims may be located.
* Follow proper safety standards.
D. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Travel throughout the four-county area (Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee) to assist victims of sexual violence.
* Must be available to work overtime, evenings and weekends.
* Provides on-going advocacy, accompaniment, information, referrals, assistance with crimes compensation and other forms, and crisis intervention for assigned clients and other direct services assistance as needed.
* Provide referral for information regarding medical concerns such as venereal disease, pregnancy, HIV and other medical issues concerning victims of sexual assault.
* Inform victims of sexual assault of their statutory Victim Rights and assess the victim's need for more in-depth counseling and refer to the appropriate services.
* Coordinate and attend outreach activities for assigned county including participation in county and circuit wide SART. Activities should meet FCASV certification requirements.
* Update Information and Referral lists for assigned county annually.

Requirements
Master's Degree from a School of SocialWork, approved by the Council of SocialWork Education.
Must have, or be in the process of acquiring, certification from the Academy of Certified SocialWorkers.
Two years' experience preferred, with at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, rehabilitation center, etc.).
Must have a criminal Level II background clearance.
Must have current CPR certification.

Manage multiple demands on their time and triage workflow based on acuity.
Establishes therapeutic relationships and maintains healthy interpersonal boundaries with patients and families from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Demonstrates professional counseling skills, encompassing, but not limited to, engaging patients and caregivers, reframing, reflecting, clarifying, affirming strengths, normalizing emotions, setting goals and limits, and involving patient families in the plan of care.
Demonstrates the ability to lead and act as a facilitator for groups of patients, caregivers, and/or staff in processing grief and other emotions surrounding death and dying.
Contacts patient/family within one hour when an immediate need/crisis is indicated. Within one hour of an immediate or crisis visit, report findings to immediate supervisor. Records all patient/family visits, telephone contacts in the medical record within a period of 24 hours.
Communicates and collaborates with other disciplines on the team, as well as maintain relationships with community partners as evidenced by active participation on IDTs and case consultations.
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of Psychosocial Assessment, Plan of Care, progress notes and all other documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency policies and procedures. All documentation is clinically appropriate and care-plan driven to accurately reflect goals of care, interventions(s) provided and changes in patient's conditions.
Supports the Service Excellence initiative, by serving internal and external customers in a manner that increases their confidence and knowledge, responding timely, efficiently and courteously to their needs and concerns.
