Position Overview
The Project Superintendent primary responsibility is to oversee mining operations within Turner Mining Group. This will include managing the operational and financial performance of projects, implementing processes to ensure effective personnel growth, equipment readiness, client interactions and problem solving and implementing systems and tools to increase efficiency and ensure profitability. Position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field personnel development by training and monitoring: Equipment operators, maintenance technicians, grade staking, GPS utilization, foremen's, etc.
Ownership for project budget, profitability, and cost control
Identify, assist with develop, and understand the key financial and operational metrics for success
Oversee operations for safety and compliance
Developing and leading fields teams to increase performance
Implement business division reporting and metrics reviews
Coordinate site needs, crews for scheduling, planning, and resources
Monitor forward-looking personnel requirements and vendor developments
Negotiate and manage client and vendor relationships
Approve appropriate invoices and proposal submissions
Assist Biz Dev & Estimation Team with Pre-Bid site visits, analysis, and work plans for project proposals

Reporting to the CI leader in France, the Digital Commercial Insurance (DCI) Manager will be responsible for the delivery of products on digital platforms. Key Responsibilities (Distribution):
* Support the CI leader and CI Distribution leader in the creation of a new DCI business within France. This includes developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for the Digital Commercial Insurance department.
* Work in close partnership with the technology and operations teams to develop and build the DCI platform, proposition, and products
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, IT, marketing, underwriting, etc.) to design, launch, and continuously enhance the digital insurance offerings that meet the needs of commercial clients
* Analyze market trends and support the development of new products and distribution strategies
* Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in the digital commercial insurance market.
* Promote Chubb as the 'go-to' market for brokers and clients in this space. Act as a senior representative for Chubb Digital Commercial, driving strategic relationships, trading, and execution with all broking partners. Support and encourage colleagues to drive the business.
* Work with dedicated Actuarial support on Portfolio Management, Pricing Modernization projects, and CAT utilization/aggregation
* Multiline authority holder for the new product line

Responsibilities
* Responsible for direct supervision of an assigned crew of equipment operators.
* Assist in the hiring, training, and development of craft personnel (Haul Truck Drivers, Drillers, Dozer Operators, Shovel/Excavator, Blade, Scraper, etc.)
* Establishes daily job assignments, authorizes time off requests, completes performance assessments, initiates disciplinary action and performance improvements.
* Develop and maintain open communication with crews, field engineers/coordinators, Maintenance, Safety, and Quality.
* Assist in preparing work plans and scheduling in determining manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
* Examine/inspect field conditions and troubleshoot problems, correct inaccuracies, and implement cost saving measures.
* Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines for job and ensure that cost control measures are being followed.
* Monitor job safety and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel.
* Monitor quality standards and ensure that technical specifications are being met.
* Assist with developing entire job schedules, 90-day schedules, and three-week schedules. Monitor job schedule and coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately
* Advise peers and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in resolving such problems as required.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Front Line Supervisor (Shift Superintendent, General Foreman, etc.) in either Coal or Metal/Non-Metal mines or heavy civil construction experience
* Familiar with MSHA operations
* Must be a self-starter and highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
* Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to safely get the job done right the first time
* Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
* Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
