In this role, you'll craft and deliver customized demonstrations, lead technical discovery conversations, and translate customer needs into clear guidance for Product and Engineering. You'll act as both a trusted technical partner to customers and a key connector across internal teams.
This is a highly hands-on position-not a standard presales role. You'll actively build with the platform, configure demo environments, work with real manufacturing files, and push the system to its limits. You'll also help shape the product direction by gathering customer insights, highlighting gaps, and validating new capabilities alongside the Product team.
Within your first year, you'll have created a scalable demo framework, influenced several major enterprise deals, helped define technical requirements for new features, and developed deep expertise in how manufacturers can use the platform to modernize their processes.
What You'll Do
Build, refine, and deliver compelling demos tailored to each prospect's workflows, data, and industry context.
Be the primary technical resource during sales calls, explaining architecture, integrations, AI behavior, permissions models, and deployment options.
Lead technical discovery sessions to clarify requirements related to data, documents, workflow logic, and integrations.
Design solution approaches using the platform's tools and components to meet customer objectives.
Establish success metrics for pilots/POCs and steer the technical win plan.
Analyze customer datasets and workflows to identify the most impactful use cases.
Provide structured feedback, user stories, and technical requirements to the Product and Engineering teams.
Test new features, identify gaps, and communicate repeatable solution patterns and common blockers.
Build and maintain demo assets-including configurations, template workflows, and example datasets-to support the sales cycle.
Use the product extensively to uncover bugs, UX issues, and opportunities for workflow improvements.
Partner with Product and Engineering to improve usability, performance, and feature completeness.
Support onboarding during POCs and advise on data structure, deployment approaches, and workflow setup.
Ensure a smooth transition to Customer Success for post-sale adoption.
Develop reusable demo frameworks, internal playbooks, and documentation for presales efforts.
Experience & Qualifications
6-9+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Presales, Application Engineering, or similar technical customer-facing roles.
Strong grasp of APIs, system architecture, data models, and AI-driven workflows.
Proven ability to design and deliver personalized demos or proof-of-concept environments.
Experience converting complex customer needs into clear product or engineering specifications.
Confident communicator comfortable engaging both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
Background in enterprise SaaS, AI platforms, manufacturing systems, or technical documentation tools.
Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Netsuite, Epicor, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics).
Builder mindset: fast iteration, systems thinking, and an eagerness to create solutions from ambiguous challenges.
Strong skill in using AI tools for research, prototyping, and accelerating workflow development.
Who Thrives Here
Clear and confident communicator who can simplify complex technical concepts.
Collaborative partner who works seamlessly across Sales, Product, and Engineering.
Comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage environments with evolving processes.
Curious, self-directed learner-especially when it comes to manufacturing workflows and industry challenges.
Low-ego teammate who prioritizes customer impact and shared success.
