Position Summary:
A Field Supervisor is responsible for leading roofing forepersons to perform work safely and productively per specifications and to the standards of the company and customer. Also, is responsible for providing leadership to foreman, fostering safety, teamwork, and discipline, resulting in efficient and professional roof system installation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Visit job sites daily to supervise forepersons and field teams
Provide ongoing performance feedback and training in safety and efficiency
Assist forepersons with crew leadership and management
Ensure understanding of contract information and track labor hours against production goals
Schedule materials and deliveries, minimizing waste and anticipating shortages
Monitor the quality of installations and manage subcontractors
Engage with customers to address questions and concerns
Schedule regular updates with customers regarding project progress
Verify customer satisfaction and manage warranties
Review plans and conduct pre-job planning, including safety plans
Ensure crews have necessary information and instructions for job completion
Investigate incidents and deliver relevant documentation to the office
Participate in review meetings with project managers
Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and teamwork
Offer expertise and assistance to team members

Job Qualifications:
Proven experience in roof system installation with the ability to train others

Perform and manage others (volunteers, vendors, contractors, AmeriCorps, etc.) in tasks directly related to scattered lot development and large site horizontal construction necessary to build Habitat houses, while upholding the standards of safety, partnership, quality, and team participation.
Essential Functions
Manage Land Inventory. Duties include managing the following: maintenance, erosion controls, address verification, and obtaining water/sewer extensions. Input items into property management database related to area of responsibility.
Assist in Land Acquisition. Duties include assisting in due diligence tasks, confirming availability of utilities, and soil testing. Provide input into land acquisition decisions.
Manage Infill Site Prep Development. Duties include performing and supervising the following: permits and compliance with zoning, demolitions, clearing and grading, installing foundations, securing temporary and permanent utilities, erosion control, and all other site readiness measures. Stay abreast of municipal zoning codes as they relate to lot preparation.
Manage Large Tract Site Prep Development. Periodically assist in the solicitation of competitive bids from vendors for grant-funded projects of limited scope.
Control Site Development Costs. Implement site prep and foundation strategy to ensure economic efficiency per lot. Examples include cutting vs. filling a lot, determining appropriate house plan, determining foundation type (slab, mono slab, crawl), setting foundation height, and managing subcontractor efficiencies.
Ensure Quality Control. Develop and maintain tools to ensure subcontractor quality meets Habitat Charlotte standards. Utilize Habitat's administrative tools for job management, e.g., the construction manual, safety guidelines, ordering forms, etc. Maintain Habitat equipment as assigned. Maintain current knowledge of building practices, industry standards, and trends. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, procure, and cultivate additional vendors.
Site Supervision. Function as a Site Supervisor, leading homeowner and volunteer crews during peak seasons and high-volume Saturdays. Serve as the Habitat liaison to the annual Builders Blitz.

SBM Site Services is searching for a (full-time) Site Supervisor for the night shift in South San Francisco, California. As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities within the custodial program, and will adhere to, implement and demonstrate safe work practices and procedures. As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities within the custodial program, and will adhere to, implement and demonstrate safe work practices and procedures.
