Responsibilities: * Creates instructions for machines operators. * Reviews 3D CAD design prints * Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications optimizing material yield. * Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program. * Communicates with engineers and operators who will use the program. * Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software. * Determines sequence of operations in a program * Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly. * Analyzes job order and performs necessary calculations. * Makes improvements to set up times for a task. * Simplifies tooling time for jobs and increases equipment productivity/cycle while maintaining quality. * Evaluates all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and cost. * Monitors all programs to make sure they follow engineering specifications and provides feedback when a design change is required to complete the task safely and successfully. * Provides training for operators on automated systems. * Complies with all safety rules and regulations. * Ensures maximum run time per production shift.
