Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
7+ years of experience in real estate accounting, managing multiple property entities (commercial, residential, and new construction)
2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience
Full-cycle accounting experience, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end close
Preferred/Desired Skills:
Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA Certification
Technical accounting and financial reporting experience in a public company or REIT
Experience with real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, financing, and capital improvements)
Hands-on experience of CAM reconciliations and property/lease setup in Yardi
Experience with fixed asset and debt management
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong project management and organizational skills for handling multi-entity portfolios and deadlines

Job Description:
We are seeking talented SeniorAccountant to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services team.
How You Will Make an Impact at Rehmann:
Support client accounting functions including, reconciling client bank account statements, preparing journal entries, and updating depreciation and amortization schedules
Identify variances in after-the-fact transactions and bill payments
Process complex payroll with complex benefit oversight and maintain payroll allocations
Create complex invoices and participate in collection efforts
Preparing financial statements and complex budget/forecast support
Prepare, file and review 1099s as well as intermediate business and/or personal income tax returns. Prepare grant budgets, invoices, and related financial reports based on grant reward.
Maintaining clients' accounting software and files
Build and maintain strong client relationships. Network at general business or community associations

Job Description:
We are seeking talented SeniorAccountant to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services team.
How You Will Make an Impact at Rehmann:
Support client accounting functions including, reconciling client bank account statements, preparing journal entries, and updating depreciation and amortization schedules
Identify variances in after-the-fact transactions and bill payments
Process complex payroll with complex benefit oversight and maintain payroll allocations
Create complex invoices and participate in collection efforts
Preparing financial statements and complex budget/forecast support
Prepare, file and review 1099s as well as intermediate business and/or personal income tax returns. Prepare grant budgets, invoices, and related financial reports based on grant reward.
Maintaining clients' accounting software and files
Build and maintain strong client relationships. Network at general business or community associations
Building relationships internally to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration
Providing a “wow” experience to every client
Contributing to the success of our clients' organizations
Identifying opportunities to introduce other Rehmann specialists to existing clients
Your Desired Skills, Values & Experiences:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
8-15 years in handling the accounting duties described above
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Ability to complete and enter non-routine and complex journal entries without assistance
Understanding and familiarity with budget preparation process
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in internal controls & policies
Proficiency with accounting specific software programs, including Quickbooks Online or other accounting, bill pay and payroll software

About the role:
The SeniorAccountant will play a critical role in safeguarding the financial health and integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for daily accounting operations, including financial statement reporting, compliance, and will contribute to budget and forecast efforts. A Day in the life of a SeniorAccountant can look like:
Review and assist in reconciling general ledger accounts daily, weekly, and at month-end.
Assist in the monthly closing process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive periodic financial statements and reports to provide clear insights into the financial status of the organization.
Support the accounting team in the day-to-day functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement reporting.
Ability to understand and accurately post prepaid and accrued transactions to ensure proper timing and presentation in financial statements.
Manage daily cash requirements and line of credit requirements for the credit union's corporate bank accounts.
Resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing financial information.
Assist with the budget process to ensure financial goals align with organizational objectives.
Assist with internal audit, external audit, and examination requests to facilitate compliance and transparency.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the junior accounting team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Evaluate accounting systems, controls and processes for optimization and improvement.
Participate in projects and duties as needed, serving as a backup to other positions within the accounting department when required.
Stay updated on innovative concepts within the credit union movement and financial services industry.
Perform other duties as directed by leadership
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in progressively responsible accounting roles, with a track record of success in complex organizations.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in accounting or auditing within the financial institution industry.
Good working knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced level competency with MS Excel.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with the credit union personnel.
Ability to work independently and maintain tight schedules.

MBA qualification.

Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARYAs a Tax Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial information for our clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Senior Staff Accountant works with the Tax SeniorAccountant to assist internal leaders to ensure high-quality work is delivered to our clients, while given the opportunity to experience more complex areas of tax and work on the development of supervisory skills necessary to prepare for the Senior level.
Tax Preparation
Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities
Organize and review client-provided financial information, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Use tax software and tools to input data, calculate tax liabilities, deductions, and credits
Research and Analysis
Conduct tax research to interpret and apply relevant tax laws, regulations, and guidelines
Analyze financial statements, records, and documentation to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance issues
Assist in preparing tax projections and estimates to guide clients in making informed financial decisions
Client Communication
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries related to tax matters
Assist in explaining complex tax concepts and implications to clients in a clear and understandable manner
Collaborate with internal staff to provide timely updates and recommendations to clients on their tax situations
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure adherence to tax regulations and deadlines, filing tax returns accurately and timely
Maintain organized and comprehensive tax files and documentation for each client engagement
Assist in tracking changes in tax laws and regulations and their potential impact on clients
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to share insights, knowledge, and best practices
Support senior team members in complex tax projects, including audits and specialized tax services
Participate in internal training sessions to enhance your technical skills and stay updated on industry trends

Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time

Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
2 - 3 years of relevant experience
Software: CCH Prosystem FX, Axcess Tax, Axcess Document, Axcess Workstream, Thomson Reuters Fixed Assets CS, Checkpoint for Tax Research
Preferred education and experience
Experience in professional service environment, such as a CPA firm, financial consulting firm, or similar setting
Actively working towards achieving CPA or Enrolled Agent licensure or relevant certification, if not already attained
Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement

As a SeniorAccountant, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing accounting activities within the organization. This role ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations while working closely with team members to support financial management and reporting processes.
About the role
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
Prepare daily/monthly bank reconciliations for various profit and non-profit entities
Assist with foundation audit work-papers, quarterly review processes, and 990 supporting schedules
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies throughout the close process
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with GAAP and relevant regulations
Generate reports to support various teams and senior leadership as needed
Compile, verify, and analyze financial data for accurate and timely reporting
Contribute to accounting projects and collaborate with team members and company subject matter experts
Lead small, individual special projects as assigned
About you
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a corporate setting
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles (Non-profit experience is a plus)
CPA Certification

Experience in public accounting, preferably a Big 4 firm
Proficient in accounting software (Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office
