Job Description
UL Solutions, will be installing a solar monitoring system (SMS) near
Deatsville, AL
on behalf of one of our Clients. The station is (roughly 25x25 footprint) consists of a few solar panels, (2) 7-foot tripods, and scientific measurement equipment surrounded by a locked chain link fence. The station will be monitoring the solar resource as well as other meteorological and weather-related parameters.
The station requires weekly maintenance, on the same day each week during daylight hours to ensure consistent and accurate data is being collected for a minimum of 1 year and maximum 2 years
. Your duties will include the following:
Uphold highest level of communication as first point of contact for equipment in field;
Ensure all equipment is level & clean on a weekly basis;
Provide troubleshooting (w/support from UL Solutions) and when requested, repair(s) for low-medium complexity issues;
Ensure there is no debris obstructing the system (depending on site/region, grass cutting, snow removal, or clearing brush); and
Confirm the system is secure and hasn't been tampered with.
Each maintenance visit should take 45-90 minutes. UL Solutions requires a weekly excel logbook uploaded via internet along with photos and other documentation to support the visit which should take 45-90 minutes. The entire process is estimated to require between 2-4 hours each week, including travel time to and from site.
Occasionally, UL Solutions may request your assistance in replacing or troubleshooting equipment. A Senior Engineer would contact you to walk you through the process. They will support you while onsite and review data after the equipment repair.
Qualifications
No solar experience is required. Training will be provided remotely via phone and video, potential onsite training when possible.
Must be able to take instruction remotely throughout length of contract term.
Must use own transportation to and from remote SMS location (

Willing/able to walk to and from site, typically no more than ¼ mile in one direction.
Must own or have access to gas or battery-operated weedwhacker for occasional grass cutting, additional compensation will be provided.

Job Description The Soft Serve Technician will be responsible for maintaining the soft serve equipment at their respective store locations. The shift will begin when one has arrived at the store locations and will end when they leave that location.
Essential Functions:
Perform tasks as listed at one location per day, on the same day of the week, at five locations per week.
Weekly complete breakdown of soft serve machines including cleaning, reassembly, sanitation, and start-up of soft serve machines.
Weekly complete breakdown of misty machines including cleaning, reassembly, sanitation, and start-up of misty machines.
Assuring there are people trained at the store level to properly sanitize the soft serve machines between technician visits.
Maintain an inventory of soft serve and misty machine parts at each store location.
Maintain weed and litter control within in landscaping and parking lot areas.
May also be asked to help in areas of power washing, window cleaning and/or other areas as needed.
Communicate issues and leave visit report with the person in charge at the store after each visit is complete.
Help operations in a Team Member capacity over the noon/lunch hours if and as needed.
Perform physical functions that include but are not inclusive to:
Standing, Sitting, Walking, Bending, Twisting, Kneeling and Climbing
Reaching, Lifting (0-50 lbs.), Carrying (0-50 lbs.), Grasping
Repetitive Motion
Work as a “team” member to assure consistent customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fueling / handling locations including, but not limited to:
Fuel dispensers - Hydraulics and Electrical
Submersible fuel pumps
Credit card pedestals
Removal and Safe disposal of Petroleum Compacted Water from tanks and catch basins
Hydrostatic Testing - Sumps and Spill Buckets
Line Repairs - Including FRP, Flexible Fiberglass, Steel
Sump Penetration Repairs - Icon Split Boot, Bravo, etc.
Bollard Repair, Replacements, Maintenance
Spill Bucket Replacements and Upgrades
Demolish and finish of concrete - premixed and mixed onsite
Install and terminate communication and electrical wiring - Direct Bury, through existing conduit, or running new EMT or Ridged conduit
Critically Damaged Dispenser or Fueling Equipment
Will have obtained and maintain certifications required for HM level on equipment, products, and safety practice
Requirements
Highschool diploma or GED required
Must have a valid driver's license
Able to operate a 90lb jack hammer throughout the work schedule
Familiar with computer operations with an aptitude for learning computer skills.
Work will include after-hours.
Able to be taught to safely operate industry specific tools and equipment.
Obtain / Maintain or possess / maintain certifications.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
Must be able to meet company's employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
