o Experience and training in diagnosis and therapeutic intervention of articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and voice.
o Working knowledge of strategies and accommodations to support students in inclusion settings.
o Ability to collaborate positively with general education and special education staff, parents and administrators.
o Experience with a variety of diagnostic instruments appropriate for students.
o Skill and experience working with students who use augmentative and adaptive communication strategies and devices.
o Experience in writing Individual Education Programs (IEP), including working knowledge of social and behavioral language goals, specific task analysis skills, and ability to write measurable annual goals and objectives.
o Participate as an effective member of the IEP team.
o Completion and maintenance of CCCs in SLP is preferred.
o Working knowledge of state and federal regulations for disabled students

Position Summary:
The SpeechPathologist is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. The Rehabilitation Services SpeechPathologist will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. Therapists will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.
Therapists in the development track will partner with their leader(s) to discuss ways in which the therapist can improve departmental performance through activities involving community events, presentations, and program/department improvement initiatives. The therapist will be given protected time to execute these activities.
Positions may require some weekend and holiday shifts as determined.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Uses and applies current information and technical knowledge in providing high quality direct and indirect patient care, including: evaluation and treatment of patients, development and implementation of care plans, and outcome reporting.

Position Summary
The Speech-LanguagePathologist (SLP) works under the direction and supervision of the Director of Student Services and will work with elementary school students grades TK-5th grade in screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating disorders of speech and language communication. These disorders of speech and language communication may include difficulties with articulation, fluency, voice, verbal and written language, auditory comprehension, and cognition communication. This position is full-time in Washington, DC and will develop and execute specific components of a speech and language program as specified in an individualized educational plan (IEP) as well as support the larger Rocketship community.
Essential Functions:
* Provide direct treatment to student's speech production, vocal production, and language needs through speech therapy.
* Deliver pre-referral speech/language interventions in Tier 1 and Tier 2 - a speech RTI program.
* Document and collect data on all consultation sessions and provide regular assessments.
* Conduct student screenings and/or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing.
* Develop and implement high quality, legally compliant IEPs.
* Write high quality evaluation reports.
* Maintain student files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include as well as provide appropriate documentation to the interdisciplinary team.
* Communicate with the Associate Director with regards to any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of the education program.
* Attend and participate in meetings as required by the (speech team, staff, and IEP meetings).
* Develop instructional materials and evaluate commercially available material for treatment.
* Keep current on the latest development in the field of speech therapy by attending professional seminars, reading current literature and participating in professional organizations as assigned.
* Provide professional development support to school staff and families.
* Manage time efficiently, follow schedule and inform appropriate personnel of departures from schedule.
* Supervise SLPAs, CFs or Interns.

Qualifications:
* Valid Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential; Master's Degree required.

Position Summary:
The SpeechPathologist is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency assessment, compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO, OSHA, professional organizations, and other regulatory agencies); and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.
The Rehabilitation Services SpeechPathologist will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. Therapists will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.
Therapists in the development track will partner with their leader(s) to discuss ways in which the therapist can improve departmental performance through activities involving community events, presentations, and program/department improvement initiatives. The therapist will be given protected time to execute these activities.
Positions may require some weekend and holiday shifts as determined.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Uses and applies current information and technical knowledge in providing high quality direct and indirect patient care, including: evaluation and treatment of patients, development and implementation of care plans, and outcome reporting.

The SpeechPathologist is expected to be involved in direct and indirect patient care related activities as directed by their leader.
