Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Student Support Services team to ensure understanding of scholar speech and language performance strengths and needs through evaluation, educational program planning, and service delivery
Design speech treatment plans and interventions in accordance with Special Education policies and procedures
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and develop individualized education plans and intervention plans to achieve IEP goals
Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and Speech and Language performance within the school environment
Provide continuing education and in-service training for educational personnel, parents, and community based service providers
Participate in case conferences to discuss student goals and plans
Conduct Speech and Language Evaluations
Complete required documentation including IEPs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing
Qualifications
Two years of experience preferred however willing to hire a clinical fellow
Graduate Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders (Masters' or Doctorate)
Active Speech Language Pathology License in Idaho
Peer Pupil Educational Certification the Idaho State Department of Education (preferred)
Commitment to working with underserved students (required)
Experience working in a public school (preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as a member of a team

Speech Pathologist Diagnoses and treats speech and language problems and engages in scientific study of human communication. Team Highlights: We are a small but dynamic SLP department in an acute care setting. We see a variety of adult patients from general medical to neurological (CVA, TBI, Parkinsons, ALS) as well as trauma patients. We do both MBS and FEES and experience with MBS is strongly preferred. We are excited to have the TSE Stroke Certification as well as playing a large role in educating nursing staff on the Yale Swallow Screen. In addition, we are looking to provide EMST with our patients and be more involved in the critical care areas with the trach and vent population.
Responsibilities:
* Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities
* Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and nonorganic etiology
