What we're looking for
Applicants should be a graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements . Additional requirements include:
Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
Minimum of six months speech therapist / speech language pathologist experience working with an adult and geriatric population
Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
Current CPR certification
Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Summary: To provide advanced professional skills in diagnostic evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.
Job Duties:Administers and interprets routine and complex tests on speech and language impaired patients Plans, conducts, and directs rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication, voice, feeding and swallowing disorders Documents findings, rehabilitative techniques, plan of care and patient progress Instructs and demonstrates testing procedures and treatments to medical students and residents Senior level staff also supervises clinical work of support personnel, graduate students and clinical fellows Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in acute care and or head and neck cancer and medically related clinic preferred but not required English - bilingual Spanish is helpful, but not required Texas Speech Pathology License, Certificate of Clinical CompetenceSalary Range:Commensurate with experience.
