Provides resources, modeling strategies and training to other team members in communication interventions
Communicates regularly the results of individual student assessment and progress with involved school staff (special and general education), parents and where appropriate the student

Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist operates with a high degree of independence as a member of a multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. The incumbent participates in the planning, delivery and evaluation of rehabilitation services, using a client centered, goal orientated approach for children and/or adult populations. * Speech- Language Pathologist screens for hearing issues as part of the evaluation.

* Direct patient care according to the treatment plan; facilitates and instructs patients in the skills necessary to successfully participate
* Program development and participation in department process improvement
* Serving as a resource person in areas of expertise
* May need to cross train and provide coverage at other departments within Rehabilitation Services as needed.

* Patient care goal setting and establishing duration of therapy through the plan of care.
* Will perform video swallow studies if applicable per site.
Administrative Duties
* Documenting evaluations patient treatment plans, treatments performed, and progress; indicates condition in relationship to established goals and adapts treatment plan to enhance therapy potential.

* Responsible for communicating to leadership limitations that prevent timely documentation.
